right now, low budget free agent. The team has to adjust team chemistry by playing with the same of group guys. We can't just add young player or another free agent after another. This team just need to stick together and the big aquisition we have so far is Jeff van gundy, i think they need to adjust thats all.

ELTON BRAND no doubt! he's a good defender, great hustler on the boards to help out yao, great trash-cleaner (meaning, gettin the offensive board and putting the ball back to the hoop), great banger inside! who wouldnt want a player like that. yeah, but considering the latest duke-jinx scare, if things doesnt go to Elton Brand, ima go for Jermaine O'Neal!!

Elton Brand without a doubt. He is one of the top offensive rebounders in the NBA and of the best rebounders period. He does not demand shots and won't take shots away from Francis or Yao but at the same time will take it upon himself to score if either of them are not in the game. So he can be the man AND he can defer. He can add great low post muscle to combine with Yao's finesse. Brand, Francis and Yao would give this team 3 star players to combat the other Western teams that have 3 star players such as Sacramento, Dallas, and Phoenix.

Elton Brand would be a perfect fit on this team.

I would love a draft day trade with Miami

Cato+MoT+Mobley+Filler(Rice?) for Grant+Jones+#5 pic

We get a tough PF in Grant,a scoring back up SG/SF in Jones and a pass-first PG through the draft(Heinrich over Ford coz of size, shooting and D).
Grant and Jones do have expensive contracts, but they end in just 2 years.

I love how people continue to think that Miami is having a fire sale and is willing to let any team in the NBA rape them in a trade.

I'm in the minority, but i think SAR is also a good fit for this team. He's a veteran even though he's only 26, but he couldgive Ming another good player to play with. He's a pro's pro, never complains and is a hard worker who can man both forward spots. As much as people like to call him a loser, he's never complained about some of the teams he's been on nor has he gotten into trouble off the court. Once his teams get better or is traded to a team that becomes good, he'll be recognized as a very good player like Bibby. He's one of the few players I would be willing to package Griffin,Taylor and Cat to get.

Both contracts were signed in 2000 and don't end till 07. They can keep Jones and Grant in my opinion.

Personally, a bruising power forward that does the dirty work or a pure shooter (Bostjan Nachbar inserted into the starting lineup) would be my choice.
Everyone harps on age, but PJ Brown or Dale Davis would be great. Juwan Howard is a bigger version of Mo Taylor. Jermaine O'Neal is a stud but he probably would cost you Steve Francis because Indiana wants a point guard. Brad Miller is a solid player but he could get more money elsewhere. Last year's Michael Olowakandi would be good to put next to Ming but he was injured and played like garbage.

Funny, I know a lot of people don't like SAR but look at his numbers. He is what, around 18ppg and 8rpg? I am not looking at his stats off hand but I think they around there. Now, what would any of us give to have Griffin's numbers look like 18 and 8? We would love it! So why not SAR? Griffin is a better shot blocker than SAR but is Griffin any better defensively? Probably not. SAR makes a ton of money however. But his contract ends in 2 years. Something to think about.

Certainly I think Brand would be a MUCH better fit but SAR is not as bad as some people make him out to be. Especially considering that we would all love to have Griffin put out the same way SAR does.

Who is SAR? Does this have anything to do with an Asian epidemic?

SAR is Shareef Abdur-Rahim, one of my favorite fantasy players.

I'd love SAR at the 3, with PJ Brown at 4.

Yao
PJ
SAR
Cat
Francis

That's some firepower. It's better than a line up with either EG or Taylor, and it doesn't cost us much more than Rice and EG. SAR is off the books in two years, with a contract based on performance.

I'm not sure how Les dumps money to avoid the lux tax, though.

I've said it many times that if Atl would do it, I would offer Griffin,Cat,and Griffin for SAR,Glover and a future pick in 6yrs or so. Resign Posey to play the 3 and let Nachbar, Rice or Morris battle for the 3. If Posey leaves, then Glover takes his spot and use the mle on a player like Campbell or Ty Hill. Actaully SAR was 20 and 8 on those same 14 shots Mobley takes every game. I think Brand is a pipe dream.

SAR does have a sweet shot for a big man but he does not provide us with physical play or great rebounding and he can't block shots. i want at least 2 of those in our future PF, be that EG or someone else. he grabs 8.4 reb a game in 38.1 mpg. if eddie played 38.1 mpg, he would average 9.3, and i don't think of eddie as being a good rebounder at this point. and he blocks 0.5 shots a game, which is the same as cuttino. he just doesn't inspire me at all. the only thing that would possibly inspire me would be his expiring contract but then we'd still need someone to play PF at that point.

my best fit would be brand. if it can happen, make it happen.

otherwise, get sheed, let his and rice's contract expire, then sign kobe.

and now that i've woken up from that dream, i'm back to brand.
