The Clippers are as likely to do that deal as I am to eat a plate of raw sewage.... or as likely as Mango to post in the wrong forum .

So, to put this in other words:

We get a player that's likely to be a superstar with a contract under 3 million,

They get:
-Injury prone forward
-Unproven rookie
-overpriced "veteran"
-average point guard
-trade exception
-future pick that's likely to be low

Not to mention, the salary numbers in this are laughable.

The more lefties on your team, the better.
Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

Without taking anything else into consideration, the Clippers already have a full roster under contract. They aren't going to take on that many people.

I too, don't think that trade will fly. However, I do think the Clips need to make some personnel moves. This is their current roster from NBA.com.

Derek Anderson G 6-5 195
Anthony Avent C 6-9 240
Etdrick Bohannon F 6-9 235
Pete Chilcutt F 6-10 245
Keith Closs C 7-3 212
Keyon Dooling G 6-3 184
Marko Jaric G 6-7 198
Charles Jones G 6-3 180
Corey Maggette F 6-6 218
Jeff McInnis G 6-4 190
Darius Miles F 6-9 200
Tyrone Nesby F 6-6 225
Lamar Odom F 6-10 220
Michael Olowokandi C 7-0 269
Eric Piatkowski G 6-7 215
Quentin Richardson G 6-6 225
Sean Rooks C 6-10 270
Brian Skinner C 6-9 255
Derek Strong F 6-9 240 2/9/68
Maurice Taylor F 6-9 260

Derek Anderson & Mo Taylor will be gone. If they work sign and trades, the roster will still be bloated. Even getting nothing for them, look at the logjam at 2,3 and 4.
Can they possibley sign even the keepers and stay under the cap? At 2 or 3 spot they've got Nesby, Odom, Miles, Maggette, and Richardson. Even if they can sign them all, can they keep them happy? Playing some of the guys listed as centers at 4 still leaves a lot of bodies. Would a future pick and the exception be something they would be looking for?

Odom can play 4 positions. The Clippers put him at the point and at the 4 alot last year.
Great lineup if we get him:

Cato
Odom
Anderson
Mobley
Franchise

I know that 97% of the time the clippers management is drunk, but even drunk management doesn't trade away Lamar Odom - forget him!!

As for Darius Miles... see above...

Nesby and Closs would seem to be available.
