Redding
Oswalt
Miller
Robertson
I think we play much better against this team this year than we did last season.
Four game sweep.

Talk about the series with the Brew crew here.
Pitching Matchups:
4-17-- Redding (0-1, 2.25) vs. Kinney (1-1, 4.91)
4-18-- Oswalt (1-1, 2.91) vs. Rusch (1-2, 7.41)
4-19-- Miller (0-1, 6.14) vs. Ritchie (1-1, 5.50)
4-20-- Robertson (1-2, 7.04) vs. Sheets (1-2, 3.54)
My prediction:
Bratwurst will win 2 out of 4 in the Sausage Races.

Does this mean you are a fan of the Bratwurst? I guess it could be worse you could favor the "Veggie Dog" PETA wanted them to race.

If the Brewers were playing 3 games of basketball against the Rockets, I would agree.

I'm a big fan of team Bratwurst this weekend. The weather is right for Bock and Brats.
However the Astros win the first 3 easily, maybe win the fourth.

We really need to. We can't afford to drop all the games to the Brew Crew this year that we did last year. I'll be satisfied with 3 out of 4, but I think we can and should sweep.

Man the Astros pitching just blows.
Getting rid of Shane seems to have backfired.

I think the offense should be more of a concern than the pitching. Scoring 2 runs against the Brewers is brutal.

Our offense needs a good, swift kick in the ass right now.

Shut down by Matt Kinney? Goodness...
Why'd we sit Berkman, Biggio, and Kent on the same day? Were we trying to get shut down today? Geez...

There is no reason that we shouldnt be hitting up the scoreboard for 6 runs a game.
2 against the Brew Crew is pathetic.
And the fact that we can score late in the ballgame and not during the early rounds is frustrating.

I dunno... Having starting pitchers going 3-4 innings is going to be a growing problem as the season goes on. The hitting can come around ... this hellish pitching may have some long-term consequences, though. The only reason the pitching overall looks decent is our phenomenal bullpen (5 guys with ERAs under 1.5 combining for 50 innings).
We have a pair of starting pitchers with 7+ ERAs (Robertson, Moehler). One of our two aces has an ERA in the 6s. Redding may very well be an implosion waiting to happen depending on how his head is this year. Combined, all of our SPs have barely averaged 5 innings a game thus far.

My statement wasnt only about starters. Granted, they need to do better in the future. However, as it currently stands, our overall pitching is still top 6 in the national league. Right now, it is our offense that is not playing to its potential, more so than the pitching.

Jimy Williams. What is this guy thinking?
7th inning, men on 1st and 3rd, down by 3, and you let Vizcaino hit instead of using Jeff Kent??
Instead you wait until there's 2 outs in the 9th inning with nobody on.
How stupid is that?
And yes I agree with Major that with this type of inconsistency from 3,4, and 5, and our bullpen will be dead in 3 months.
