Any thoughts on it? I am surprise nobody posted anything about it and I guess I maybe the only Linkin Park fan here. My first reactions was "eh" not as good as Hybird Theory and felt dissapointed. But gave it another go around and thought it was pretty damn good. Loved how Shinoda rocks in "Hit The Floor" and there is plenty of songs on there that will make the radio airwaves. Ima listen to it a few more times before I put my detailed song to song review.
I thought "In The End" was absolute garbage, but I like the 1st single from this one...Wal-Mart has it for like 9.94, and I almost bought it tonight, but I thought I'd wait and try to listen to some of the other tracks and if I like it I'll go to wal-mart and buy it...
Really? U thought "In the End" was garbage? That was the one song that got me hooked to Hybird Theory. I thought One Step Closer and Crawling was just "ok", but "in the end" got me to buy the CD and the rest is history. The best song that was on the album that never made the radio was hands down "With You". Absolute great song and tune.
Crawling was the best off Hybrid. The songs where Chester goes nuts are the best. He goes nuts on the new single, which is good.
I'm a huge LP fan...since waaaay back in their underground days when they were still called Hybrid Theory. Meteora is okay...it's not great but it'll keep Linkin Park in the multi-platinum game. I don't know about you guys, I'm only 20, but I am super annoyed by LP's fans. It's like they're turning into the backstreet boys or 'nsync or something. All their fans lately are like 15 year old freshman girls in high school that scream "Chester/Mike/Joe is like...so hot" at every chance. Anyways...anything is better than their previous album..."Crapimation".
I liked Linkin Park, and bought the CD before One Step CLoser even hit the radios.(I'm inot underground music)...Now they've just become too trendy for me. The same people(not you guys ) that liked 'Nsync and Backstreet Boys a couple years ago like Linkin Park now.
Thats weird, I still dont see LP as a "pop" group. I know they are overhyped on MTV but other than that, they only people I know that like LP is people like me, guys who like Alternative or Hip Hop music. I dunno, I guess I just dont see it.
I thought Hybrid Theory was amazing and I bought the Reanimation CD without hesitation, but quickly wished I hadn't, as I thought they were mostly lesser versions of material that they had been milking extensively already. I'm glad they are coming out with some new stuff, but I am in no big hurry to listen to it.
I knew about them before everybody else new them, so there for, I am waay cool, and ahead of times, but now that they are mainstream, and no longer "underground" they aren't cool, and I refuse to acknowledge them. Seriously though, I didn't like LP from the start. I thought they were just another upstart rock band that raps with another DJ. The radio kept playing them over, and over, and over, and over til it burnt in my head. This is why I like some of Nsync's song. I just kept getting exposed to it. I didn't want to hear it, but it just stayed there.
I like LP a lot and even the debunked Reanimation,...what got me hooked was the pseudo Hoth-Robot Battle scene on video...I plan on getting metroid as soon as possible!!!!
You should go to one of their concerts...it's worse than a britney spears concert (not that I've been to one of her concerts ). Either that or join their LP underground club at http://www.lpunderground.com and look at the message boards. About 7/10 members (like 20k+ members) are little high school girls. I hate mainstream groups that get overplayed on radios but I still listen to LP just because their really aren't any good rap rock groups out there anymore. Ever since Rage broke up, my rap rock needs have not been met...only a little by bands like LP and Hed pe.

If it wasn't Turns To Ashes by 36 CF, download that song. Its probably the best song out there right now.
The only nu-metal band worth listening to is cKy. Actually no, Deftones...but Deftones is more rock, because nu-metal is usually just awful. No offense.
