Dude has really been contributing the past 5 games, especially on the defensive end playing hard:

PAST 5 GAME AVERAGES:

22.8 PTS
6.4 REB
2.8 AST
1.2 STL
0.8 BLK

Really has been stepping up his game. Bashers please dont post here......

Those stats are awesome...exactly what we need from Cat

But hey, he is the biggest dumbass on the face of the earth and we HAVE to trade him ASAP right?

Sure I'm not a Cat basher. Actually I was quite surprised to see the BBS bashing Cat recently.

A few weeks ago I left the States and came back to my home country for good, so I didn't get to see the Rox regularly (damn, I hate not having the Rox as part of my life!). Before I left Houston the Rockets were doing pretty well and still the 7th seed in the West. A few days ago I checked the Rox were the 9th seed behind the Fakers. And people here started to bash our Cat, and talked about how trading him would benefit the Rox.

How great is it to have the Cat, as we see it now! Man, people just bash whoever is cold. You have to understand that anyone of us could go on a slump in our lives, so can any NBA players!

Cat rocks!

Direct correlation to the passing of the trade deadline.

I think Cat was afraid of being traded.

YES!!!! A breath of fresh air. Thanks for making this thread available. I thought I was going to suffocate out there. Go Rox. Go Mobes.

Okay, wish me luck as I go back into the other threads. This is really sad that we need these occasional positive threads.

If Cat plays like he did at the end of last season, this team will win the first round of the playoffs even if its against Dallas.

22.8 PTS & 6.4 REB are awesome, and I love his progress on defense. Most importantly, please don't overlook the fact that his shot selection is getting better and better. (Of course still not perfect) Though his passing skill is still terrible, at least i saw him starts to pass more...Obviously Cat has tried hard to adjust in the new offensive system and to remove the old bad habbits. Why can't the bashers be more patient ?

Yeah, he has some good stats...FINALLY...

He was so scared *****less about being traded he wasn't able to focus...

What a wuss...He needs to be playing well, but that is not just stats...He has to play smart and distribute when he needs to...

Damn. 13 replies appreciating good play as opposed to 13 threads bashing it. I'm glad to see Cat coming around to form. I knew it would happen eventually and now we need it the most.

Maybe it was the trade possibilities that were on his mind. Can you really blame him? If I took less money to be a part of a team I wanted to grow with and then was traded I'd be pissed. Bashers can say what they will about Cuttino, but I feel like he really loves being on this team. I believe that this might have been like a near death experience where after having the scare he'll play even better than he used to.

He still has some things to work out to fit into our offense, but he always improves so maybe he'll adjust. Anyway welcome back Cat.

Last night was Cat's best game of the season.

Not only did he play great defense on one of the NBA's best, but he played within the game plan and himself. He was patient, didn't dominate the ball nearly as much or force a bunch of shots, and made several big shots.

Steve had better stats, but Cat definitely had the better game.

Cat played awesome last night.

If Cat can stay consistent and play within the offense, we will be a very dangerous team.

With Yao helping him set up for open looks, there's no reason he shouldn't make 45% of his shots.

Cat has played some pretty good games as of late. It is great to see his play elevate.

I have said many times that in the NBA today for the most part for teams to be successful they need 3 star level players. The Rockets have two in Francis and Yao but are searching for a third. Cat gave us that third player the last few games. I still think Cat is too inconsistant to be that third star for us every night but those nights when he is on, he Francis and Yao make a nice triple threat.

This team can only benefit from Cat's emerging 3pt shot and scoring which inturn opens up the middle for Yao Ming to operate.

=) The reason we're all loving Cat now is the same reason he was getting bashed before. Fans typicaly have short memories. Cat's played good but he still has a penchance for taking too many "????" shots. He's on a roll right now though, gotta give props where it's due. I would rather have a consistent offense though, something more stable, since I'm a fan of the low post game.

Those good games are right after he knew he was not going to be traded(around the trading deadline). I think that's also why his mom cooked a meal for the whole team. Good for him and the Rox. Hope they continue doing well.
