Boy, that really sucks. Now it's going to be real hard to tell how much of his offseason improvement was real and how much was just him looking good against preseason competition.

This is bad news.T-Mo was starting to show some improvement on the offensive end and is a pretty good defender. KT will probably start at the 3 with Rice and Boki coming off the bench.

This does suck. Since TMO>Kobe, this is not good for the Rockets. It would have been nice if he continued to play well and he could have possibly got some good minutes. This doesn't help that.

This is a problem. At least it's nothing too major.
Hey rikesh316, where did you hear that it would be 4-6 weeks?

Yeah, he'll most likely be back before this time frame. He walked off the court with a SLIGHT limp, if you remember when Cato suffered his high ankle sprain he was on the ground screaming like a little girl. I know you can't tell how bad an injury is by a player's reaction, but to the people who saw it, it looked like nothing at all right? Hopefully, it'll be healed in 10 days.

That could just be because Cato is a sissy though...

Lets hope Tmo has a speedy recovery.

It's a damn good thing the Rockets have some depth at the 3 and 4 spots this year. I don't mean for that to sound like a dig on Morris, because he's looked like one of the best coming out of the gate so far this preseason.

Get well soon T-Mo.

High ankle sprains are the worst type of sprain you can get. They are very slow to heal because they are difficult to rehabilitiate - there aren't a lot of really good exercises to strengthen them like there are for traditional ankle sprains.

Also, like groin injuries, they have a tendency to re-injure easily meaning players tend to rest them longer to make sure they are 100 percent before running on them. To make matters worse, he will not be able to work on his conditioning at all while it is hurt because of the type of injury.

Not to be pessimistic at all because TMo was playing great basketball and it sucks that he'll be out, but I just know high ankle sprains are a pain in the ass. If they say 4-6 weeks on this, I'd be surprised if it was less than that.

this is good news for the rockets. now we dont have to see his ugly shooting form for a minute.lol but I really wished i could have seen them pre-season games where terrence was actually doing something productive. because ive never seen him do anything special on the court but shoot air-balls and ill-advised shots. steve just hook his old homie from maryland with a nba job.

My optimism for the season based on our preseason is starting to wear off.

First Ming doesn't show up (YET).
Boki is still hurting from his hernia operation.
Then MoT and Glen are held back in practices
Then Steve / Mobley / Cato are held back / injured from games
And now TMo (actually the only guy who was surprising us very positively this pre-season) decides to take a break.

All I can say is that it is a good thing that we have a lot of players to fill the void at the 3 spot. Boki might find himself getting some time during the first five games with both MoT and TMo out. This almost assures that Eddie starts at PF because the Rockets are going to really need KT at Small Forward. Between grandfather Rice, baby Boki and KT we should be fine...I hope. Damn TMo was looking good though!

Ming is on the plane....

Boki is moving fine...

MT and Rice are playing in games and contributing...

TMo will be out 4 weeks on a loaded frontcourt. That's not the end of the world. "Decided to take a break", more like decided to take a sprain...

Please root for Detroit. With comments like this, the Motor City needs you much more than Houston. The two Mo's are important pieces of the Rockets' resurgence.

Considering your nickname, I thought at first you were a two Mo kind of guy, but now I wonder whether you are at least a one Mo fan.

T-Mo -- get well soon but don't rush it. The Rockets need you.

Brian Grant once said that when he got a high ankle sprain it was the worst pain he ever felt in his life. And this isn't from some run-of-the-mill light weight.
