i dunno. i started following the rockets in the calvin murphy era. my first goto move was the famous calvin murphy stop-and-pop jumper from the corner of the free throw line. so, he would be my sentimental favorite. but you don't have him.

as for all around best player on the rockets...well hands down that's hakeem. nevermind that he acted like a whiny bitch at the end of his tenure with the rockets...the man was an absolute machine on the court. unstoppable. make that on-beet-uh-bull.

as for favorite character...hands down barkley. i was always a barkley fan, so when he came to the rox i loved it. and he didn't disappoint one bit. the 30 rebound game against the suns was my favorite. when the rockets were up like 20 at the half, chuck tells rudy t (while pumping his fists) "WE'RE KILLING THEM, RUDY! WE'RE KILLING THEM!!!" gotta love the fire from the chuckwagon!

I so BADLY wanted to put Hakeem, but I jus didn't see enough of him. I only saw the end of his career, which didn't include much. No MVP's, no championships, no nothing. Shoot, I barely saw the playoffs with him.

I put Stevie since I've followed the Rockets for about as long as he's been here. He's showed me a lot, and everything I see from him makes him my favorite.

I can't believe that Dave Jamerson isn't an option on the poll.

Wow, I'm only 22 and your making me feel old now :D I was fortunate enough to be your age when we won our two championships. I actually went to games 6 and 7 against the Knicks. Awesome, just awesome. For your sake, and for every Rocket fans sake for that matter, I hope we get back their soon.

I would have been a fan sooner, but we had pretty bad cable, where I live. Pretty much basic stuff: FOX, NBC, and ABC. (the NBC local news turned out to be Denver's.) Even if they were on TV, I didn't know much about basketball and played tag or something instead. Or I watched Doug, Looney Toons, Tiny Toons, etc. I was so sad after I learned about Hakeem and how I didn't get to see hardly anything of him.

OMG...Tiny Toons. I can remember watching them with my friends. It was in the TV lounge in Moses Hall at Texas A&M. Come to think of it...when I was doing that in college you were 5 years old RC. I gotta remember to buy that plot.
