Just heard on SportsRadio that McLane is prepared to make a major announcement today at 4 PM (i think) that is NOT related to naming rights.

Hopefully, he's selling the team to a low profile clone of Mark Cuban.

Let's hope that it is not Hunsicker leaving.

Interesting. It can't be ownership, because there would have been rumors flying around. I hope it's not Wade Miller-related. He underwent more tests yesterday.

Often I've found these MAJOR announcememnts generally aren't so major. Sounds interesting nonetheless. At this point in the year, I can't imagine what it could be if it's not naming rights related?

The Chronicle said that there would be an announcement on Miller's health today, but I can't possibly see where that would be MAJOR enough to warrent a "pre" announcement.

While a trade would be cool/interesting, those always leak before the announcememnt. If there was a 4 O'clock announcement of a trade, especially of someone like Rolen's ability, ESPN or something like that would have some kidn of story you'd think.

Well, Major made me promise that I wouldn't tell, but I can't keep it in any longer.
Swirve.com Field.
Yes, thousands upon thousands of Dungeon and Dragons type geeks across the world has made this possible.

Just thinking out of the box. Don't take me seriously
Hey DC kid, did you read were baseball is highly probable in DC. (ESPN) Looks like we are finally going to the big leagues. It's only a matter of time now.

Maybe the Astros didn't like Enron Field enough and decided to move to D.C.

Sometimes major trades don't necessarily leak beforehand. I don't remember reading any rumors of the Francis trade (outside of the guy on this BBS) before that happened.

Yeah, I've been following it pretty closely. I still have my fingers crossed. I don't care if it is the Expos, just give us a team!

I remember hearing about the Francis rumors on the radio before it actually went down...

Hopefully Bill Gates is following Paul Allen into the sports business. Imagine if you will, Microsoft Field or Windows XP Field.

ghod forbid!
Then again, if there's anything less reliable than our current middle relief, it is that operating system...

The Astros are tighter with info than the rockets. If they find some team with the same policy, it could happen. Grasping at straws.

Maybe Drayton is taking himself of the "We as owners won't institute a lockout this season" group and just shut down operations. That would suck.
