Just curious. Do you guys think that the Rox are really this many 20 point bombings bad or are they tanking. Or maybe not tanking but just giving up at this point?

I would hope any team that showcases two 21 point scorers, and a servicable performance from KT all year, and some surprise from Griffin would be better than this, this season. I know, I know...injuries, but would Mo T of given much more than what KT has given so far this year? I won't ever believe that Rice was going to give us much more than what we saw earlier in the season.

This thread isnt to spark any arguments, just curious as to what you guys REALLY think about all these big losses.

When the game is close but then gets out of control, that's not tanking. When you say, "To hell with it!" and start resting players late and stuff, that's tanking. Unfortunately, I think the Rockets have "tanked" games only 5 or 6 times this year.

Could they make it a little less obvious please.

I write this as the Rockets trail the Grizzlies 39-19 in the second quarter.

the seaon is over for us. the only productive thing rudy can do at this point is play collier, langhi, morris as much as possible in order for them to mature.

now if putting in your worst players for extended minutes is considered tanking....nevermind:p

oh yea and we get a better pick out of it. its a win-win situation as long as the rox continue to lose-lose

GO EVERYBODY ELSE THE ROX HAVE TO PLAY!!!!

fg MAn I really hope the Rockets tank it,i mean we need to think of the Future. WE should be able to get a top 5 pick and who knows Woods might fall right into our hands. As long as we Dont get Bochart, or Marcus ill be happy with the draft. I would pass out if we got 1 of those SOB's:eek:

This was me in the 2000 Draft

This was me in 2001 Draft :D

Ming, Williams, Wagner, and Woods will go before we pick.

we may end up with the 5th or 6th pick. i dont think we need another rookie next year. we should trade our pick + 1 vet. fa for Lewis, Odom, or Kandi

    then i'll be :D :D :D

Why does everyone think we have to go out and pick up a veteran? Do you guys think Houston is one veteran away from being a championship team? Houston has veterans (Walt, Rice, Willis) They may just be one player away... plus 2-4 years. This entire team needs to grow and any talent we can add while in the lottery is a huge bonus, and will pay off when Houston is a contender. I say pick up Avery Johnson, (the position where veteran leadership will give the biggest return-without giving up draft picks) draft the best available talent, and wait!

you're not too far away from my opionion there in that patience is needed with this team, but i really think that drafting another rookie out of this particular class wouldn't be as advatageous as getting not a seasoned veteran but a 3rd year kinda guy who could jump right into the mix and get some momentum building with these kids.

If the pick is not in the top 4, I want to see CD trade it with Mo T for Mashburn and Magloire. Should be about right salary wise. I assume that the Hornets will want a new identity when they move to Nawlins. That trade would be amazing forr the rocks. Imagine Rice on the pine with Mashburn running the floor and a two-headed platoon of Cato/Magloire.

Actually, the difference between the #6 pick and later is considerable, and our chances to get a lottery ball much better as well... Actually, at this point, if they tank, I'll be thankful... they need to do the things that prepare the team for next year. Play rookies, play backup players, practice new plays, get certain guy's confidence up... They do need to bring it every night, though, or they'll develop bad habits. I believe thats why Francis and Cuttino are in there the whole time. They want these other guys to get used to playing with them, and it also makes it less obvious that they are tanking...

I think that Collier and Langhi are on the bubble, and they are taking a good look at them in a gametime situation to see if they want to keep them or not. If they don't have any breakout games, I think they will be gone next season. If they do well, then the game experience will be valuable, or make them tradeable chits.

i knew that they were tanking the moment they started playing langhi and collier instead of carlos or t-mo. wink and cat are just killing time and putting up numbers to pad their stats. this is intentional, i am sure of it. langhi and collier will be gone, and we will get a good lottery pick (toronto's too!) whoooweeee!!! tank city!! *****, if san antonio can do it, so can we!

Did anybody see Marv Albert's sports bloopers on Letterman? The first blooper was Chris Marcus at the foul line, pulling his shorts down to his knees and back up again. You could see his hairy thighs!

Steve Francis was in a blooper, too.
