In a recent interview, Bobby Brown was asked to describe Zhou Qi as a prospective NBA player and he responded that he could best be described as a "poor man's Porzinga". He said Qi reminds him of Porzinga, but not nearly as talented. Qi was teammates with Brown this past year in the China league and while what he says may be true, it is classless to describe a teammate that way (to a Houston reporter) and may indicate why Brown has never been able to stick with a team and succeed in the NBA.
Sounds like a fair assessment. There's a reason Porzingis was taken high in the draft and Zhou wasn't.
If Kristaps becomes Dirk 2.0, I don't see how that is an insult. Plus, it his opinion, doesn't mean it is true.
I would love for him to be a poor man's Porzingas. OP's point still stands though, that's not being a good teammate, Bobby Brown needs to talk to O'Brien and learn about being a good teammate. A better way to phrase it would be "He's got a little Porzingas in him."
Who cares about what someone thinks about Qi? Better yet, who cares what Bobby "summer league" Brown's opinion is about anyone or anything?
Funny you dont wanna post a link http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ysterious-chinese-nba-draft-prospect-zhou-qi# https://www.thebeijinger.com/blog/2...receives-positive-feedback-boston-and-memphis http://espn.go.com/blog/houston-rockets/post/_/id/2670/zhou-qi-comes-with-high-basketball-iq
If he is half as good as Porzingis is then he's a good pick for us. Not expecting much out of a 2nd rounder.
