I thought it was really cool so wanted to repost it here. <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="a/wmBwo"><a href="//imgur.com/wmBwo">Rebranding the Timberwolves</a></blockquote><script async src="//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Cool jersey concept. It would look better with a simple, but effective corporate logo from perhaps Target, Kohls or Bank of America.
I know. Or some type of weasel/mole, burrowing. Wolves howl at the moon. But not Timberwolves, I guess. Someone is waaay too excited about using what they learned in logo class about negative space
Gee, compared to the Rockets current one (Chinese vampire in outerspace), that TWolve logo is great. I know, low bar. And to be honest, I like the emphasis on the "Timber" and the subtle treatment of the "wolf".
Also, that fan logo is quite good. Certainly better than many of the fan attempts at Rockets logos/jerseys.
The logo is the least of our problems. Also, the wolf part of the name is a central part of the marketing. At games here, fans start howling when opposing players shoot free throws and there's a big moon hanging on one side of the court. Stick with a wolf howling as a logo in my opinion. I'd rather not have trees and a dead looking wolf as the logo.
I like it, but seems a bit ripped off of the Atlanta Hawks logo. Still looks great. Seems derived from the Milwaukee look, but that's a great look to emulate. Nice and simple. Sleek and modern. That's the predominant style right now. It's all cyclical; the big, cartoony logos will be back in no time.
