No! We specifically hired him to Iso James Harden. D'Anphony is known widely throughout the NBA coaching circles to be great at calling Isos, even better than milk hair.

I know we hired him to iso Harden. But after watching the Suns 7 seconds or less type schemes, I'm just wondering who would be a solid fit to play with Harden like that since Harden isn't our PG but Harden normally controls the ball more. I found another video below that talks/shows D'Antoni's offense with the 12'-13' Lakers. Feel like thats a similar setup to what we have now? The biggest difference I saw between the Lakers and Suns was the speed of the offense. Idk just curious on yalls thoughts.

Nope. D'anphony said something along the lines of never winning a championship with the 7 secs or less offense, so he scrapped it. He took that playbook and burned it in the Phoenix sun. Hes gonna have a new system called one pass or less offense- whoever dribbles it up, give the ball to Harden, if Harden already has the ball, then there is no pass needed. Hes going to really simplify things and bring everybody up to speed as soon as they can catch on.

Dwight was with the lakers then and thats why the ball stopped and the offense slowed down, cause he wanted to be showcased in the post. LOL. Hes not with us anymore so Ol' Mikey D is going to be running that one pass or less offense.

He will also beg Murree to sign Lin so he can recreate linsanity, bring back all LOFs and salvage his career. But in the mean time- more Harden Isos.

Man, I was thinking the same damn thing lol. And you know, I'm starting to think our answer is Rajon Rondo. I watched some highlights of Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, and Rondo and I feel like Rondo would make a better fit for D'Antoni's high speed offense. Steve Nash in the 04'-05' Suns season averaged 11.5 assists and 15.5 pts per game. Rondo this season averaged 11.7 assists and 11.9 pts per game. I think he's the only true passer in free agency thats good enough to play with Harden and not be a ball hog. Idk, thats just me though. Rondo's 15'-16' highlights are in the link below, compare Nash's play style to Rondo.

Though I don't really like the pringles hire and have huge concerns about our defense, it will be nice to actually have plays next year.

I want any combination of Ryan Anderson, Conley or Batum in this offense so badly.

Even if he tries to do it, do we have prime Nash..? do we have Prime Stoudmire...? do we have prime Marion...? the answer is NO so it won't matter if he runs or not, you would have to have right players to complement this system, and even if we do we can have good reg-season but it won't get us anywhere in the playoffs because MDA doesn't believe in DEFENSE.

Looking at that video, it's clear we need some better shooters on the squad to run a similar style offense (or any competent offense for that matter).

Unless Morey make some serious trades this off-season I don't think it's going to work.

First of all, you need an All-World point guard to facilitate the offense. Steve Nash has superb court vision, creative passing, and hit can hit his jump shots on a consistent basis. We don't have that PG yet. Lin may be a one but he's not a good enough shooter and he's no where near as good as Nash.

Second, we need guys who can hit their shots from a variety of locations. Rockets have done much mid-range jumpers as we moved all of our players beyond the 3. On top of that, we suck at shooting 3s. So.....yeah....

Ultimately, defense wins you a ring. Warriors, OKC, and Cleveland all played superb defense down the stretch. Our defensive schemes are non-existent and our players are all too old to keep up with the quickness of the Warriors and OKC.

James Harden doesn't even get across the halfcourt line in 7 seconds or less...
