His last two playoffs have been pretty terrible. His regular season numbers aren't all that good.

If 6 mil is the going rate for below average players who the heck is Morey planning to bring in?

Is there a reason you decided not to show his Regular Season numbers this year, specifically his noticeable improvement from 3s.

i think it's clear he's not very good and is probably one of the worst starting PG's in the league.

he should be a backup 1, esp. for a good team. he will excel in that role. but he's been playing a starting role.

I'm tired of people talking about his defense....he misses layups with no contact and probes the defense like his GPS is in the wrong country...we don't need an all star point, but we do need a point guard who doesn't operate at 100 mph all the time...it was an attribute before, not so much now.

He should be a backup PG on this team. We need Mike Conley... but looks like he'll want the max this off-season. He can play off the ball, defend other all-star PGs, create offense and shoots a career 37% 3PT.

Also need to get rid of Brewer's contract somehow so we can pick up Horford or Durant.. teams will pay Horford the max but I don't think he's worth it for us. Rather us pick up Ryan Anderson at the 4 and start Capella at the 5.

    Yup

I think we have to give up on him...its just not what we would like to see

He is at best a 15min defensive bench player, thats about it.

I agree - his style of play is chaotic. He doesn't play a controlled game. He was pretty much a non-factor against the taller Shawn Livingston. I think he did bother Curry a little but his style is more harassment than good defense.

He lost his fire and hunger from when he first established himself.

I guess he got comfortable and/or injuries got in the way. I know he has a backstory about where he came from, making it, and becoming a success despite his size.

But, dump him. This isn't a charity league. Perform or GTFO!

We knew one of the keys to the Rockets success was him being able to make offensive plays in addition to play strong defense. He really did neither well this season with any consistency.

When he hit his threes and got some points, this team was better. But, it was way too infrequent to be starter material. And, I don't really like him off the bench, either, if he couldn't find his rhythm as a starter.

Some players just need a change of scenery to get their focus back and get back to playing basketball to their capability. The Rockets are full of those players right now that could use a new team to re-prove themselves. Sometimes, just the status quo of remaining in the same place means that player will never take the next step. They need added incentive. They need to know they are expendable.

He can still be useful as an agitator and defensive spark for 10-15 minutes per game.

As a starter playing heavy minutes? Hell naw.

him backing up conley would be perfect. get Harden in a controlled game where he doesn't have to take over. mann I'm just so jealous of the warriors. to have livingston as a back up pg. to have the shooters that they do. to lose your best player and still have players that can take over. ugh

Yes, Mike Conley and Pat Beverly in a nice giorgio armani suit on the bench compliments each other well. They could look like young assistant coaches.

He's the worst starting PG in the league. Can't shoot, can't pass, can't create, no handles, predictable, zero creativity, doesn't distribute and make teammates better, defense is overrated and often injured.

Dude has yet to eclipse more than 3.4 APG as a starter and it's been like 3 years. That won't get it done here or anywhere else as a starter.

You pair Harden with an above average PG and you would have the second best backcourt in the league. Watch Lillard and CJ against the Warriors.

    he's terrible, always has been.

don't need stats to tell that story. eye test is more than adequate for this one.

beverley, battier, ariza, etc...all these "defensive specialists" who totally handicap the team on offense most nights - they are kinks in the silly analytics system of morey's that they are going on 10 wasted years and counting.

There isn't really going to be any free agent options, I can't see Conley wanting to come to play next to Harden and this dumpster of a team. Too big of a risk for him if he doesn't fit next to Harden.

Who else is there? Rondo/Clarkson? I'd rather pass. Only PG on the market who I think is worth looking at for the money is Delly, and he is a Bev replica with better passing.

Bev is good for what this team asks from him. 3&D, hustle and energy.
