Why has Barkley not sued the Rockets over that $3 million? Why have the Rockets not sued for libel?

Seems like they should have come to some sort of a resolution a long time ago...

Because it was probably a back door deal. Barkley will never get over it.

Yeah it will really help recruit NBA free Agents when they find out the team sued a former player...

Barkley and Les should do a race for the $3 million.

Probably was something unofficial and under the table that the Rockets didn't deliver on. Maybe the Rockets had a condition under the terms. Either way, Chuck will continue to hate because Les isn't giving him that money.

A better question is, Why didn't Les just give Barkley the money and tell him to shut up? 3 millions is not that much.

I can't blame either party until we know the full terms of the agreement.

    Might've been the alcohol talking?

Barkley and Shaq are too unprofessional and agenda driven in their commentary. Barkley's drunken antics are good for the occasional laugh. Nothing about Shaq is amusing. Well, maybe him thinking his degree mill Ph.D. means he knows something about leadership -- that is amusing.

That's exactly what I thought too. Story sounds suspicious.

I asked Barkley in January in vegas. He said the rockets owed him money.

And yes, les has never said anything back about it. Silence is guilt

Probably related to an ungauranteed year that allowed Les to not pay him after his injury...and Barkley probably expected the full contract paid as promised by Les for the Vet Minimum signing to make cap room for #33. So maybe there was the verbal agreement for X amt over a few years to make up for #33, but the injury gave Les a contractual means to stop payments.

Does that theory jive with the length of Barkley's contract? Did he have more years left after the injury?

An under the table deal would have been unenforceable in court due to the terms of the CBA. And if proven, would have resulted in the loss of multiple draft picks, etc. see Minnesota. Plus, Barkley got drunk and threw out the napkin Les wrote the promise on.

It's actually a legal violation. The under the table deal Les proposed to Barkley was illegal to begin with. Somebody could possible face jail time. Either way I need that $3million more than either. I deserve it more.

You better hope I never meet you in person. Because if I do, you will end up giving me a lot of your money.

I am sure that Le$ promised him money when he took the paycut to get Pippen here....and that once Barkley was injured Le$ backed out.

Barkley has a visible pulpit, but he's also a pretty easy target. I would just keep taking cheap shots until he really humiliates himself while retaliating. He might even get himself fired from TNT.

Seriously... Toad Smith is the best he can now?
