I don't think you understand how an appreciation thread works... you got my hopes up that he'd already been canned.

He was canned after Milk Hair was canned. It'll just take two more games for it to be official.

Could do without negativity like this in the middle of a playoff run

He is a consummate professional and I hope he retires a Rocket.

John Brewer-Bickerstaff will be missed by Corey Brewer's goat.

John Blair has done a tremendous job...

...of playing Corey Brewer major minutes
...of playing Jason Terry major minutes
...not fixing the defense despite being the "defensive coordinator"
...ranting about disrespecting the game while continuing to disrespect the game himself
    ..."partying" with the team

By my calculations, we are slap bang in the middle of our 4 game playoff run.

    Things I love about JBB:

He's so loyal to his players. Whilst other people are concerning themselves about Corey Brewer not hitting a 3 in the past month, JBB doesn't let himself get distracted by such nonsense and sticks by his players. That's why I love JBB

    Fun facts about JBB:

JBB is a patron of the Help the Aged charity and demonstrates his dedication to ending age discrimination through his life's work, giving otherwise pensioned off NBA players one final chance to play big minutes in the playoffs. He is a true inspiration

He probably deserves an off-season and pre-season to really get his stuff in place. But, if he goes 4 - 7 or whatever to start the season, then Les/Daryl will fire him.

I'm not thrilled with the job he has done but I don't think Greg Popovich or Phil Jackson could turn this around. When a team goes this far down the road of failure, there is no turning around.

Time to clean house from top to bottom. We have to keep Harden, of course and I would love to keep DMo if he gets healthy and maybe even Beverly as a back up but everyone else from 12th man to the head coach has got to go.

Decent chance a coach like those two don't allow it to go down the road of failure this far, though. But yeah...I hear ya.

we are 73? games into the JBB campaign and he still has no idea of how to manage his rotations. new starters coming in 72 games into the year.

has any coach been so inept? i mean he had 71 games to figure out who/what his best lineups were. so sad.

JBB should of never accepted the job. He was set up for failure from the get go. You don't replace the HC with his assistant knowing that they already lost the locker room. The players needed a real voice to steer them back on track and unfortunately that never happened. JBB will never land another HC gig in this league but he has a lot of guts and no brains to try to correct this ship.

A good coach like Atlantic or Boston can change the team culture
