Seldom an NBA article from Newsweek.

It is advocating contraction... and a jab at the Rockets' defense at the beginning.

wow...nice dig on the Rockets. That's pretty provocative.

As for the article/suggestion: If we are going to advocate something that means less money for owners like contraction, then the best idea is more obvious.

Less games. More Practice time. No more back to backs.

The NBA needs more team practice time like College and Euro leagues. The game is not meant to have 3-4 games per week, every week. At no other level or league is it played that often vs allowing teams to practice together and game-plan for opponents. Hell, the playoffs are not played that often either...and no back to backs.

This is an incredibly stupid article. I only read 1/3 of it and found too many mininformation to continue.
The author claims that the league has overextended its talent because there are players who can't make 50% ft? REALLY? What about HOF legends like Shaq?
Then he says that the reason Morris has still a job it's becuase there aren't many 6'10. LMAO Let me introduce you to the concept of guaranteed money , dear author.

Then he topped it all off by saying "who can tell the difference between MCW, MKG and KCP? " Uhmm hello. They are night and day from each other, different drafts and different teams.

Then I stopped reading because it's hard to read when you roll your eyes so much every other sentence.
