Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen 18s18 seconds ago Dwight Howard and James Harden stayed back to talk things over with Bickerstaff and Morey. Morey would not comment on their discussion.. figured this was new thread worthy. Seems like the conflict / issue lies amongst those 4. Wonder how that went. Morey - "which one of you wants to stay"? awkward silence.
hmmmm.. Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen 3m3 minutes ago Howard said, "We'll be all right. The first half is over with." He seemed to be in a much better frame of mind than postgame.
Yeah, Howard thinks Harden is a lazy minded introvert incapable of leadership. Harden thinks Howard is a goof that isn't serious and therefore doesn't respect him. JB knows all of these things while Morey thinks those things don't matter because analytics.
LOL @ the first half is over with..are these guys complete morons?? This was just for Morey to assure them that they are here to stay, he believes in them and we will be better and a feared opponent in any play-off series even though currently in the 9th position.
Harden probably mentioning how he and Dwight are the cornerstones and everyone else are just role players who should be traded lol
I think you're reaching...it's more likely that Morey heard/saw some of the things being said and he got the "leaders" together to quiet things down.
wasn't necessarily serious about him trying to ship someone out, but did find the meeting relevant else why would the beat writer be tweeting about it if it was common place? I haven't seen Feigen do that previously.
I do think it's relevant, for the reason I stated...GM has to do damage control after what they said to the media, including Terry's comment...Also to get on the same page going into all stsr weekend..I think Morey plans to keep Dwight and wants their input on trades...need to stay in touch over the break.
I hope so! Get something in return for Dwight, shut Harden down the rest of the season and see what the other guys have got.
Probably more like Morey - "sorry guys, I know JBB can't coach for crap but Les didn't want to pay for a coach' awkward silence
A little more context http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...hp?t=baeadb545f438d9cbb&cmpid=twitter-premium Same thing as before..guys trying to win, but have different idea of what it takes to get there..need to all be in same page, same direction.
What I see in Harden and Howard is two guys who actually quite like eachother, this isn't a Kobe/Howard situation. It seems they get on perfectly fine, they just don't have similar interests off the court and on the court their styles aren't milk and honey. This would explain why we haven't made a definitive decision on Dwight yet. I for one have played with people (obviously this is just rubbish leagues) that I consider friends and enjoy hanging out with them, but when I played with them I hated it. Not because they were awful or werent open to suggestions but it just wasn't a good fit on court.
Break them up! Trade Howard (any many others). Get a brand new coaching staff in the off season. Rebuild around Harden with blue collar and high IQ players.
