You could hear the force of the block. Thaddy got that one super clean. I'm not sure if it's block of the year, but it's definitely nice.

Poor Ersan acted like he got hit in the face. Most of us played ball in high school/college. You have to take those blocks with a grain of salt. EVERYONE gets their shot blocked at one point or another. It's just foolish to pretend you were fouled, when everyone, especially your teammates, know that you just got destroyed. Lol, good stuff.

I miss seeing blocks from Theo Ratliff . He would block it cleanly, but so viciously in one motion.

Overall, the "block" seems to be a lost art anymore. There are only a handful of guys who can do it consistently, without fouling. The league doesn't have enough guys that intimidate guards going for layups. If Hakeem was just standing within 5 feet of the rim, everyone gave their shot a second thought.

 

The sheer force of that block almost broke Ilyasova's jaw.

 

This happened tonight as well & no the commentators are not Jim Ross / Jerry The King Lawler.

Commentators made this an epic clip! Ha--thanks for the share. I saw the ESPN version, but not the local.

It just shows what we all know: Even the best of them get their shot blocked. (Except Dream..Nobody ever got close to swatting that beautiful shot. And, why would you want to?!)

Turner seems like a strong dude and he got that block pretty cleanly. It shows you how strong LeBron is that he still managed to get that ball to touch the rim.
