Hmm, when does next season start?? Above .500??? definitely by November 2nd, 2016!!! Haha, in all seriousness... if somehow the team comes together another 5-10 games, hopefully by then the Warriors and Spurs decide to retire.

faith, by definition, is blind. not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but faith in reality rarely solves any problems...

Just from the volume of threes they throw up a game, they could easily have a winning record due to the system. Just get hot for a couple of weeks and out shoot the opposition.

Hell, if the match ups are in their favor, why couldn't they make it back to the WCF? It's not going to beat the Warriors, or whomever comes out of the East though, and that's the goal.

That's where you have to see what's happening on the court, TO's, communication, effort on D and movement on O.

 

Next season? It sure as hell isn't happening this season.

Our schedule has been incredibly favorable, yet our only wins lately have been close home wins against the terrible 76ers and Trail Blazers? We just aren't that good.

 

this being said, is there still time for the rockets to gather things together and get themselves out of the funk this season?

certainly. ofc. if they can make changes and do things right that is.

but this is based on logic, not faith.

 

Pretty sure this poster's elation over the firing of McHale and hiring of JB may be just a little premature.....tears of joy turn quickly to anguish. Of course he could have meant Nov. 30 next year, LOL.

man if they aren't close by the end of december...please please for the love of god just tank. No more 14 picks we end up trading for 2nd rounders or crap later. Lets just get some good ****ing talent.

 

January 5th

 

c'mon now, show some spirit. I've got to think that even if things keep going poorly, we're back at the .500 mark by January at the absolute latest. So as an optimist I'm calling the Christmas Day weekend to hit .500, which should be do-able. If I've counted my games correctly, Christmas Day is an odd game (#31), so it's either the Wednesday game against the Magic (15/15) or the day after Christmas against the Pelicans (16/16). Book it.

 

I think we will have a better December. If D-mo can round back into form by the end of the month that would be huge. This team needs a consistent 15-20 ppg from someone that can create their own looks besides Harden.

I'm sure we'll get it together at some point. It's still very early in the season to be freaking out. We aren't yet in December. We've played one full month of basketball. Plenty of time to respond to this adversity and remind people why we made it to the WCF last season.

But it all starts with Howard and Harden. On both ends of the floor. Doesn't seem like they have been together at all since Dwight came back last season. They played much better together the first year, when we used to have fun.

We have to get back to having fun.
