The most brilliant tank job of all time. The Sixers and others are threatening to make such a mockery of the tank job that there are rumors it could be ended. This tank job needs to be done undercover while it is still possible. No team with this much talent has ever employed it before so we do have the element of surprise. And people still question the wisdom of Morey. The main tactic is you keep demanding these Rockets keep shooting only threes until they lose all confidence and hope. If any of the starters get too hot, you just put in KD, Harrel, Howard, Capela for their obvious effort and have them keep putting up threes. Not too obvious with Howard and Capela or you risk everyone catching on. Brewer and Ariza are useful also, but at times you have to be careful to take them out. Now everyone will understand if Jet's minutes are very limited due to age. Harden can be allowed to score even up to 50 points in a game unless it looks like it might result in a win in which case you sit him down for defense, a tactic especially effective when we are down not too much in the fourth quarter or God forbid we are actually up going into the Fourth and any additional scoring is dangerous. An alternative tactic when playing especially tall teams is to go to very small ball. Have Jet and Lawson at the guards, Jones play center, Harden at the three and Ariza at the four. This tactic has to be used cautiously to avoid detection and requires some of the old fake injury tactic. DMO can continue to rehab all season, Howard has his back and knees issues. Jones can always claim to have a cut on his eye lid etc, but again be careful. It is important that Daryl and even Alexander keep talking about the analyticalness of the three point shot and what a good bunch of youngsters, Capela, Harrel and especially KD we have. Next year we then bring back the core of the WCF team from last season with a new coach, plus a top 1-3 draft pick. The new coach then is very serious about the pre-season in which no players are injured.
We don't have David Robinson. We have bum who doesn't play defense and needs 4 guys on court who are above average defenders to make up for him.
He was healthy the last 2 weeks to a month of the season and they held him out to tank for the number 1 pick. That is ok though, because the Rockets did the same thing to get Hakeem. DD

Tank for who? 2 year process waiting for a top draft pick to be a competent NBA player. No generational talent in this draft. Window with Harden/Howard closed before you can round out another roster. In other words the Houston Rockets and their fans are ****ed.

The only way we're getting a top 3 pick is for Harden to get "injured". The dude probably doesn't want to play. We want to tank. Let's put 2 and 2 together and shut him down for the entire season.
Truth be told, I'm okay with tanking if things don't turn around quickly. Everyone can believe Dwight is injured because lately he is. Same thing with Beverly. Keep dmo out. Just give harden and Lawson the green light to shoot anywhere once you cross half court. But if the tank, then tank all the way. Don't half ass it. Don't get the ninth seed. Go for a 15-20 win season if you tank. Make the 96-97 Spurs proud. Make the 84 rockets proud (it's true, they tanked).
I would like for the Rockets to tank. Top 3 pick. As much as I like Howard, his contract is too much for a player who is as injured as often as he is. Trade or let him walk. Go after Durant. Profit.
Lol I used to wonder if a team as good as say the Heat with that big three or Shaq/Kobe Lakers or Spurs would ever punt a season in their prime to acquire a top pick. And then start a crazy dynasty. I'm convinced now that that is what's going on. Durant and Thibs are in on it too. It explains why Lawson is playing like crap, why Dmo is still "injured", why no one plays any defense.
