Everybody thinks we have enough talent to be considered a contender; however, our Team is not nearly as strong as it was last year. We just don't have a lot of depth, if any on the bench now. Beverly is non- existence now, and Prigs played great last year, and was a very smart player that knew how to run a team. Jet is a very limited player this year and is too slow trying to play point guard. Harrell is no where near ready to even play spot minutes. Cappella is basically a rookie that is playing well, but is very raw and is no threat offensively, and Josh Smith helped a lot more than what people want to admit. Should never have let him get away, especially for the amount they could have paid to retain him! Lastly, Jones and Brewer are worthless on most nights! We really miss D-MO. This is definitely a very different team now, and Harden and Howard is not the blame! Dale Morey is, and I wish that he would fill the 15th slot with a veteran big to help Howard inside, or make a small trade, similar to the Chalmer's trade that helped turn things around in Memphis, or just resign and let someone build the team that knows that size does matter, and put some real shooters around Howard and Harden before the Rockets lose them!

    agreed.

but, can i argue that, if we "dont" have enough depth, then we didnt have it last yr. either to begin with?

We did not have enough depth last year to overcome the loss of DMo and get to the Finals.

Since then, we've lost depth. JSmoove has left us and DMo is still out. We did not replace Smoove who was a more important piece to us than any of Brewer, Bev, or McDaniels were. And without Harden moving off the ball, Smoove is a more important piece to us than Lawson is.

We literally fired the head coach two games ago. Give it some time.

We're going to give it all season. And what you're going to find out at the end of the season is we aren't good enough. Because we have the wrong personnel.

Unless we make personnel changes this team is doomed to be competing for a bottom 4 playoff seed in the West. One significant injury without a personnel change and we're a lottery team. Doesn't matter who coaches us.

yup. people undervalued prig and smith.

those 2 leaving and the the existing cast underperforming (or maybe they over performed last year) = current results.

And no doubt you're rooting for this to happen, so you can look back and say, "I told you so." Because as we all know, your ego means more to you then the success of this team.

Like that doesnt apply to 98% of the rest of the league. All of the Morey complaints are.hilarious to me. He is managing a business with 29 other people competing for the exact same resources. Even more difficult (unlike most businesses) is that the resources he has at his disposal to create a repeatable, quality product are 100% human resources and their performance is out of his control. He has played the statistics game and its worked for the most part. The problem is that this collection of resources have collectively played below their historical statistics this season. The odds of that happening to an entire team are very low...but it has happened. So you either ride it out and wait for the statistical bounceback our you move on. What puzzles me is the reaction from most of this board....people want 3 stars, a deep bench, a badass point guard, a stud 4, plus the ability to upgrade any of those pieces at a moments notice. Do you really think he is not trying to accomplish all of those things each and every day? What realistic moves were available the past 3 offseasons to upgrade this roster that werent made? I dare you to name 1 that you have definitive proof of Morey walking away from.

Dont gimme the, he's only looking at options that fit his system bs, cause you still cant name a deal he walked away from due to that either.

Lol it's also easy for him to start talking like this after the team looks like ****. Dude wasn't on this "this is the wrong mix of players " before we sucked stank hole the first 11 games

All the role players got fed up since they covered for harden's deficiencies last year while harden got all the glory.

Some of us had said it last year already: Harden doesn't make his teammates better, most perform below their career standard when playing with harden. It has only become crystal apparent this year as Harden plays his bad habits to an extreme.

Remember, rockets got past clippers without harden, probably despite harden, not due to. Josh and prig never got the credit, they left. Brew never got the credit, but gets his money, so he stays but his heart didn't.

Harden makes his teammates worse, not better, due to his lack of effort and claim of glory.

So we're just gonna pretend he didn't write Dale Morey?

Bev is non existant because hes HURT.

We lack size because DMo is HURT.

We shouldn't rush to make major changes, until they're back, which should be next month. Also, multiple players can't be traded until dec 15.....

Great, now answer the question. Regardless of whether you saw this last year or not, what moves werent made that justify all of this being Morey's fault? Trade harden? What offer was on the table that would have satisoed all of the "glaring" holes being called out.

More importantly, why do you guys (and there are a number of you) keep being passed over for GM jobs? Somebody needs to look into this because its obviously robbing us of 3 to 4 championships.
