Going to be an interesting season. Morey no longer needs another GM to suffer a brain fart in order to make the moves (all minor at this point) to become a legit contender for the rest of Harden's prime.
Can anybody who's a nobody go to the Rockets media day?! I'm off today, live close to Toyota Center, and will be pretty bored around 12
I never understood media day, players almost never seem excited, photos come out sparingly and almost never in high resolution all together, they never do anything fun (at least that we get to see) and that's the point of media day no? I like the interviews, but the rest is usually bull. Many players are not even there.
The point of media day is getting content for the media. Players giver interviews so that the sports writers can get quotes to write stories before the season starts. Players take pictures so that the media companies have stock photos to use. Players do a video shoot for the opening video that is played at the Toyota Center before the game. Etc. It's for the media. That's why it's called media day.
Fair enough, maybe it's the actual reporting of what happens during the day that seems to be lacking, especially with today's social media. Will the media guide come out today, I always look forward for that?
