Hey guys, just wanted to add a list of the current t available players that could fill our need for a PG or ball handler role.

Norris Cole - fairly good shooter with 47% and 38% from inside and outside the arc with the Pelies

Aaron Brooks - who wouldn't want to see AB0 in a Rockets uni for one more chance at being traded at a deadline to a middle of the pack fodder or lottery bound team!

Nick Calathes - played pretty admirably in the midst of the semis for a 2nd year player. URFA may be an issue to get a deal done that Memphis wouldn't match.

J.R. Smith - hold on, give me a second. I know he's a nutcase and while houston is no Cleveland in terms of places known to settle a habitual party animal down, he would still come into a strong locker room with pretty good veteran leadership. He can both handle the ball and provide instant scoring off he bench. Very solid fit got our slash and dish system.

Any other guys y'all can think of that are available via free agency not trade.

I think so too. Which means that Bev will likely be the starter on opening night. Teams won't be looking to trade talent until around December, when it becomes clear that pieces aren't gelling etc.

As for the guys mentioned in the OP, Norris Cole wouldn't be a bad choice to take a flier in, same with Calathes. I watched Smith a lot when he was a Knick, and the guy is a grade A ball stoppin bone head. He just makes dumb plays on the court and doesn't score/perform enough to compensate. We wouldn't be able to play him next to Harden like the other two.

Haha. Davis won't fit this offense. But Rhodes is only 41 & everyone knows...... Jordan Stopper.

In 2011, Rhodes was hired to coach at Cordia High School in Knott County, Kentucky.[2] In 2014, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association leveled severe sanctions against the Cordia basketball program for a laundry list of blatant violations of KHSAA rules. KHSAA commissioner Julian Tackett stated that Cordia's violations under Rhodes "represent what may well be the most wanton and blatant disregard for association rules in its 97-year history."

Calathes is going back to Europe.
Also Jr. Smith is almost a lock to resign with the Cavs.
