    Stats per 36

    Player A
    17.5 Points
    10.3 Rebounds
    2.3 Assists
    43% FG
    37% 3 Pt

    Player B
    23.8 Points
    10.4 Rebounds
    1.7 Assists
    47% FG
    35% 3 Pt

    Player C
    15 Points
    7.4 Rebounds
    2.3 Assists
    50% FG
    37% 3 Pt

Player A is Kevin Love. Player B is LaMarcus Aldridge. Player C is DMo.

DMo isn't perfect, but he is:

    1) A better 3 point shooter than LaMarcus
    2) A better post scorer than Love
    3) A better defender than Love
    4) 5 years younger than LaMarcus and 2 years younger than Love
    5) Still hasn't hit his ceiling

The only significant difference between DMo and the other two is rebounding. But consider this......one of the reasons Love gets so many rebounds is he frequently blocks out the defensive player rather than contests the shot. DMo does the exact opposite, which is one reason DMo ranked high in rim protection for most of the season and Love has been one of the worst throughout his career.

Finally, let's compare LaMarcus and DMo. LMA is a dominant mid-range shooter. When he is "on", there's no stopping him. But the same is true of DMo as a post scorer. When that baby hook is dropping, there's nothing you can do about it.

57% of LMAs shots this year came from between 10 feet and the arc. Of those, he made about 41% (which is close to his career average), or 0.82 PPS.

75% of DMos shots came between 0 and 10 feet, and he scored at a 55% clip, or 1.1 PPS

We have our PF of the future, and he's not afraid of wolves

You forgot to include their projected price tags.
BUT I agree with u. My only fear is his health..but Love is not exactly the epitome of a healthy player either.

Great about DMo: You don't have to trade anyone to get him.

I'd like the pf spot to be a legitimate #2 option on offense. Do you think Dmo will be ready for that role next year?

4 is not the position of priority this yr., imo. we're just fine at the 4 for at least one more season. d-mo, tj, and smith if he resigns. that's pretty decent.

with the cap space we have, rather see morey focused on the 1.

Glorifying DMo without seeing first how his game will be after recovering from a Back injury..

Agree regarding the price tag. One more year at a dirt cheap salary, and then he's a RFA with a much lower potential max salary. No contest there.

I really thing we need to shift away from Love and LMA and think more about Durant in 2016. Keeping DMo as our long term PF lets us do that.

Yes. Dmo max 16per . Whereas love looks at at least 20 per and aldridge will sign 1+1 this year because if he waits one year he gets to the next category of max not to mention the cap rise.
Get Durant or Conley next year and then go over the cap to match Dmo.

Let's be real. The only reason to keep DMo over the other two is the salary cap.

DMo has a difficult time playing 25 minutes a game without getting exhausted. Better have a strong backup.

How many minutes / game D-Mo average when both Howard and Jones were out?

I'd take DMo in the post over Love almost any day. Love is good, but he does't have near the volume DMo does. It's the same argument in reverse for their 3 point shooting. They shoot the same %, but Love has 3-4x the volume…therefore he's the better shooter.

False. I saw Dmo play out of position and play for longer than a quarter straight. With a healthier Howard doing more of the dirty work inside, Dmo is capable of playing 28-35 quality minutes a night.

For some reason, our PFs have trouble boxing out opposing players. Same goes for most of the team though, after switches and etc they forget to box out. Dwight is one of the few who knows how to properly box out (except for that play when Curry boxed him out).

Definitely roll with Dmo and either Smith/Jones as opposed to breaking up key pieces of the current team to bring in what will probably equate to a marginal upgrade.

If we lose Ariza to bring in Love get ready for first round exits due to an inability to keep opponents under 115 points a game.

we already gave up 111 pts/gm this past playoffs……so no ariza would probably mean 120!

    Player D (Terrence Jones)
    15.6 Points
    8.9 Rebounds
    2.4 Blocks
    1.5 Assists
    53% FG
    35% 3 Pt

I mean, seriously, if we look at JUST stats per 36, then both of DMo and Terrence Jones are nice players.
The game is more than just numbers on a page though...

Having said that, I'm happy to significant upgrade the PG spot, and roll with all of JSmoove, Dmo, and TJo at the PF spot again. One of DMo or TJo will step up significantly next season.

What is even being argued here? That DMo is a better option than Kevin Love or LMA. That's dumb.
