Traveling? Carrying the ball? Offensive Fouls? Defensive Fouls? Offensive 3 Seconds? Defensive 3 Seconds? Flops? Just Curious Rocket River
Traveling by a country mile. Not even worthy of discussion. The real debate is what call is missed 2nd most. IMO, it is charging fouls (because of flopping). If the NBA penalized flopping enough to discourage it, the league would be so much better off.
I felt it was Traveling. I wonder what other ones would make the list and where on the list they would be Rocket River
I would probably say carrying and then traveling. I feel way too many guards carry the ball a lot and are never called for it. The type of travel that I feel are never called is the shuffle of the feet and switching pivots.
Agree with The_Yoyo Carrying is a rule that refs and the nba just decided not to enforce too much way back with Magic and then Stockton. Traveling is actually the most misunderstood rule by fans and media. The refs are much more correct than the fans think they are. Fans just aren't willing to accept that the NBA has a different rules than other leagues. And many Fans just can't see the ability of NBA players to do a delayed gather that no other level does. Most misunderstood ruling "by a country mile."
Moving screens. Refs decide to call one out of the blue every once in a while, but the vast majority of screens set on the perimeter are illegal.
I agree with WestendMassive that I think moving picks are the most missed calls. I feel like it's something refs only call when they feel like it, even though it happens a lot. There are plenty of people in the league that get away with it the majority of the time. The first name that comes to mind is Kevin Garnett. He is a master at the illegal screen. Draymond Green is also someone who I've noticed. Like a lot of other missed calls, this is usually a violation that gets called a lot early in the season due to probably NBA heads in the offseason telling the refs to look out for it and then as the season goes on the calls become less frequent.
I voted carrying but now that I think about it - traveling is up there. My dude Amare was playing on skates yesterday in the paint.
Being set on moving screens & charges. Rarely is the screener set with his feet within his shoulders. And when is a player set to draw a charge with 1 foot sliding or going up on his tip toes? Those 2 calls just pi$$ me off!!!
I'd go with traveling. That hop step players take when receiving an open three point look just before they shoot it is tough to watch.
Carrying is almost never called now. If they called it like they did before the '80s, there would not have been those cool crossover moves we are seeing everywhere.
