The narrative on Harden's defense is slowly dying, which is good to see. There's still a few morons like Amin Elhassan that refuse to acknowledge it, but it's good to see Harden finally not be clowned on every other day.

Terrible list for the most part.

    My top 5 point guards:
    1. Steph Curry
    2. Mike Conley
    3. Jeff Teague
    4. Damian Lillard
    5. Eric Bledsoe

Teague, like Mike Conley, is an underrated player. It's hard to leave Kyle Lowry off the list seeing what Toronto is doing this year. But every player on my list (minus Bledsoe), their team is either ahead of Toronto or equal to Toronto.

My arguement for Bledsoe in the top five is that he's on a team that clearly lacks tje talent of the other teams and he and dragic have the suns in the top 8 in the west, which holding off (Anthony Davis and the Pelicans) and (kd and the thunder) is an accomplishment.

I also think that Brandon Knight should be in the conversation as the best as well with the year he is having.

Dwight not being top 5 center is blasphemous he is the 2nd best when healthy after Cousins. Gasol is overratted.

Thank you, Adam Fromal, for not-so-subtlety pointing that everyone that discounts Harden in one way or another never actually watches Rockets games. Watching one instead of lazily watching highlights and reading a box score shows even more clearly why he's indisputably the most valuable player for any team in the league. And the highlights and data ALREADY show that.

However, Adam, he'll NEVER be a great defender? He's only 25 and made strides in defense no one would have believed last year over just a break between seasons. Harden's proved that if he wants to make it happen, he'll make it happen, and you're a blithering idiot to put anything past him.

    Such a troll post.

I hate Westbrook and I'd argue if anything he is too low on the list. Wall has been balling out of his mind, no way you leave him off either. CP3 is always good, I can understand dropping him down in the top 5 list, but not off it completely.

If you'd replace Lillard with Conley or Lowry, I'd be ok with that, but your list is terrible.

I agree Conley is underrated but your list sucks. Lillard has been rubbish off late.

    Where is CP3? Westbrook?

Not bad, but there really is only a top 3 PG list in my book.

    1. Beno Udrih
    2. Russ Smith
    3. Mike Conley

Russ barely beats out Mike for 2nd.

Bledsoe doesn't have KD (westbrook does) and the Thunder are looking up in the standings at the suns.

The fact is that westbrook clearly doesn't make his teammates better. In the past, that didn't matter because KD was such a force of nature that Westbrook and KD was all that team needed to beat other teams.

Now that KD isn't playing at Jordan-level offensively, the team can't even get to the eight spot. I know that you are too young to know about this, but Jordan averaged 37 points a game one year, and Phil had the good sense to tell him that he should try to get his teammates involved. So their was many years that MJ devoted the entire first half of games to getting teammates involved.

Hell, westbrook has been criticized for not getting one of the 10 greatest scorers of all time (KD) involved. If westbrook can't even give up the ball for kd, he clearly hasn't learned what Jordan learned.

Being a great player is not all about: YOU!

That's so dumb. He plays with Z-Bo and great rebounding guards. He's amazing at boxing out. You're penalizing him for not chasing stupid rebounds.

Remember when people would lament the dearth of great centers? The position is looking much healthier now.

While I agree that both Conley and Teague are underrated, I also disagree with your list.

Although, to be honest, the Point Guard position is so deep in today's NBA that it is almost a toss up if you are trying to choose the best 5. No matter who you choose, there will be some very deserving players that are left off.

just as a i thought DeAndre Jordan> Dwert

Dwight could be a better version of DeAndre, but a hakeem he will never be... if he could play within himself when he gets back from this injury... blocking shots, no post ups, pick and rolls... the rockets would be favs to win it all... dmo is all the post scoring we need
