Kobe has injuried himself so regardless of the votes james harden should be starting like he already deserved.

Nice of Kobe to do that  Are we sure he ain't gonna heal fast?

It'll be a travesty if Harden doesn't start.

Assuming Steve Kerr is the West coach, isn't it conceivable he could choose to start his own guy, Klay Thompson, instead?

It would suck, but it is possible.

Why does your OP say "should be" but your title says "is" starter.

Misleading title is misleading. You made it sound like it was announced.

Isn't it up to Kerr or the league to pick the replacement? I don't think the person who is next in voting is automatically picked. Not saying I don't want harden there cuz I do, just trying to clear up on how the process is done.

Chris Paul was supposed to start in Kobe's place, but when coach slapped him on the back to congratulate him, he flopped.

I'm 99.9% sure it's -- the coaches vote on the reserves first, then Kerr chooses a reserve to replace Kobe in the starting lineup. That shifts Kobe to a reserve role, at which point Silver selects someone who was not previously named as a starter or reserve to replace Kobe in that vacant reserve spot.

Same situation as last year. Kobe voted a starter, Harden/Parker/Lillard/CP3 selected by coaches as reserves, Brooks chose Harden to replace Kobe as a starter, Kobe shifted to a reserve role, then Silver chose Anthony Davis to replace Kobe as a reserve.

Feigen doesn't think there's anything wrong with Kerr going with Thompson.

I hope he chooses Klay. So many benefits to our team if Kerr chooses Klay.

I wouldn't hold it against Kerr one bit if he picked Klay, he is just as important as Curry is to the Warriors and is the 2nd best shooting guard in the league.

Does Harden not do more for his team than Klay? I would hope Kerr thinks about that rather than just choose his player

Harden deserves to start. This whole fan vote thing is wrong.
