I bet the people who left early regret leaving so soon.

T-Mac may not be a HOFer, but this moment sure is one of the greatest basketball moments of all time.

I was watching it live on TNT in the background. I remember being disgusted at how bad they were playing and how they were about to get their butts whooped by the Spurs(at home) yet again. Remember, this was in the midst of a 6-11 start too, so this wasn't some isolated incident.

Then those 2 dunks happened and my first thought was the Rockets were just trying to save face. But then T-Mac started hitting 3-pointers, including a 4-point play, and I thought they were gonna wind up losing by 3 or 4 points. Especially since the Spurs to their credit were making all their free throws at the other end. It's not like they handed this one to the Rockets....

Until Brown turned the ball over and T-Mac dribbled down the court and won the game. I screamed so loud(I think I said "Holy sh-t!") that my roommate ran over to find out if I was ok. Still the craziest ending to an NBA game I've ever seen save for maybe Game 5 of Bulls-Cavs in 1989 or Game 4 of Pacers-Magic in 1995.

A co-worker and a friend of his told me they were on the train when they got texts with the score update. They never lived that down at work.

 'Course, I just reminded him RIGHT NOW.

I never have left any game before it's over and I never will.

Damn, where does time go? I still remember Barkley trashing the Rockets after the game saying we got lucky and that San Antonio just blew it.

I got up to leave and stood for an extra couple of minutes. When he hit that second 3 and got fouled I changed my mind and watched the rest of the game.

Yeah that one is on my dad. I was 17 and he drove, so I had to leave when he left. I didn't want to leave.

When we got to the car I put the Rockets radio broadcast on and they were flipping out. They said something like, "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! WHAT A COMEBACK WIN! I HOPE EVERYONE WHO LEFT EARLY IS LISTENING TO THIS SO THEY KNOW THEY MISSED AN ALL-TIME PERFORMANCE!!!"

I didn't really cry, but gotdamn if I wasn't close.

Remember it like it was yesterday. Was watching with my then roommate (who's from San Antonio) in our dorm room at Texas State. Good times, a lot of memories from that room in College Inn. T-Mac's 13 points in 35 seconds, the Ron Artest melee, "He Just Sucked the Gravity Right Out of the Building!", Michael Finley's out of bounds steal, and the game seven thrashing. Good times indeed...
