It sure would be priceless if JET hits some game winners against Cuban and the Mavs.

As of right now, I love JET and hate Chandler Parsons. Times change.

Do you think he might have some good mentorship for Troy Daniels?

he has the ability to help match contracts in a mid season trade, or even sooner. he allows us to give up less talent for a 3rd star. ever thought of that, jason terry trade haters? lol

other reasons to trade than roster upgrades. cmon, you guys are acting like the casual nba fans that i avoid

I'm certainly skeptical that Terry will be a major positive on-court contributor this season, but there's at least some reason to think he can provide something to this team.

Last season was a throw-away year for Terry. He was injured for much of it (yet still managed a .379 3-pt %), then he shut it down after his trade to Sacramento (where he had zero interest in playing).

The year before, he was moderately decent in Boston. He had a .566 true shooting percentage (.372 3-pt %) and scored double figures (10.1 ppg), mostly off the bench, in under 27 mpg. Oh, and he played in 79 games.

Again, my cynical self believes that the Terry trades was more about the picks and his expiring contract than about anything he can do on the court. But I will leave the door open a little for Terry to be a real contributor.

Terry is at considerable risk to be injured again and obviously is probably just 30 or 40% of his former self. I bet he can have the occasional big game and be near invisible the rest of the time. A decent person to turn to that can take the clutch shot. Not much down side to Terry considering we really didn't give up anything to get him. 2 2nd's plus his $5.8m expiring have a high upside.

After going from dallas to boston, then boston to brooklyn, then brooklyn to sacramento, I'd say the jet is almost out of fuel.

I dislike Chandler and Terry. ...So take that!

I think Terry will be similar to what Bobby Jackson was for us. Any more and I'll be satisfied. However, I don't want him taking any of Daniels' minutes, really...

A player-coach on the bench? If he has anything left, it would be a plus. He was once a really good player with a killer shot. I wouldn't expect a major impact, but wouldn't it be a pleasant surprise if that happened?

It's not going to be easy to recover from an injury at the age of 37. I doubt if he can do much.
