Just here at work thinking about basketball and soccer, thinking about some lineups. My starters would be, James, Pat, Howard, Ariza, and Terrence. As For the other "Role players" I would choose Troy, Robert, Dorsey, Nick, And D-mo. What are y'all's choice, or predicted lineup?
PG: Beverley - Canaan SG: Harden - Daniels - Johnson - Hopson SF: Ariza - Gee - Covington PF: Jones - Adrien - Capela C: Howard - Dorsey - Motiejunas
PG: Beverley - Ish Smith - Canaan SG: Harden - Daniels - Johnson - Hopson SF: Ariza - Gee PF: Jones - DMO - Adrien - Josh Powell C: Howard - Dorsey - Capela Ish Smith and DMO are needed to keep the ball from getting sticky.
Looking at the lineup, the Adrien and Dorsey signings do make some sense assuming they are serviceable backups. You should be able to play Adrien or Dorsey with Motiejunas effectively since both can play the 4/5 on the defensive end.
And that's exactly what he looked like during the summer league. I don't see Covington getting minutes
PG: Beverley - Canaan - Johnson - Ish Smith SG: Harden - Daniels - Johnson SF: Ariza - Gee - Covington PF: Jones - Motiejunas - Adrien C: Howard - Motiejunas - Dorsey - Capela
Its still incomplete, but it better look something like this: Bev, Sessions, Johnson / Canaan Harden, Garcia, Daniels Ariza, Marion TJ, D-Mo, Capela Howard, Jermaine Oneal, Dorsey
I dont like our depth at the 3, I see Ariza playing big minutes, with Harden being our primary backup 3. Open up more minutes for Daniels or Johnson playing at the 2.
I would like to see Sessions here too but this team already has too many PGs who really can't play the 2 spot (Beverly, Canaan, and Smith). If you're doing a wish list, I'll replace Garcia with Allen and Oneal with Dmo.
As it stands. Bev(30)/Cannan(18)/Ish Harden(26)/Dainels(22) Ariza(38)/Harden(10)/Gee Jones(30)/Motiejunas(18)/Adrian Howard(32)/Dorsey(12)/Motiejunas(4) Nick Johnson, Clint Capela, Robert Covington to Dleague.
Bev/Johnson Harden/Daniels Ariza/Gee Jones/Adrian Howard/DMo Canaan, Dorsey out of the rotation. Three more random scrubs.
