Omer Asik Appreciation Thread

Thanks Omer, for the free throw beast you were against the Thunder a year ago!

 

Thank you Omer I'll never forget the time you became a cap clearing piece for Lebron and Carmelo coming on board.

 

I'm gonna miss Omer, but with the report he will be traded for a pick for next year's draft... we really need to know who will be brought in to back up Howard?

What I will remember most is the game against OKC in last years playoffs, when he beat the Hack-A-Sik.

Who starts if Anderson is healthy next year? Don't they have Anderson at the 4 and Davis at the 5, or does Anderson play the 3?

I will miss the Omer of two seasons ago, the hard worker and presence down low. I will not miss the quitter/pouter from last season though.

Wow I know we're trying to clear cap space but Asik and Davis front court is scary defensively

nice guy. got a lot of hate too, some undeserved. Wish him the best along side unibrow.

 

I really enjoyed Asik's time here. Other than his rumors issues with the Howard signings and the aftermath, he was a real professional. He was a fan favorite from the get go.

How could you not be a fan of Asik? He busted his butt every game and minute he was on the floor. He was probably our most important player in 2013, with Harden being our best player. If he didn't become the player he is now, we would have not made the playoffs.

So, so long Asik. I hope one day you'll catch the ball regularly and get some defensive recognition.
