McHale is good as gone the way this Portland series is shaping up. Team looked like they quit on him. But I feel Morey needs to be on the hot seat now as well. He should get one more year tops. Morey ball is not going to win a championship I'm afraid or even come close. I'd be interested to see how Morey ball looks under a better coach but if the Rox still fizzle out in first round next year, Morey needs to be gone too.

Really? You will blame Morey for players not giving a damn? He put together a good roster, McHale didn't know what to do with it, and our team doesnt care about winning. Not his fault.

Nah, Morey has done a great job - but he does need some heat for picking McHale but not enough to move him away, still one of the best GM's in the league.

Kind of agree. He got us Harden and Howard but outside of those two he's surrounded them with very average players. And a horrible HC. His philosiphy doesn't work in the playoffs

Morey built us a good team, that is his only job.

If the players play bad, and the coach can't draw up plays, that is not his responsibility.

Also IF you fire Morey who exactly do you hire?

Firing Mchale can get you: JVG, SVG, George Karl, Adelman, possibly a few college coaches like Izzo, Calapari, or Donovan.

Morey has done great except for hiring this patheti coach

However if Morey doesn't fire McHale ASAP then they both need to go

Basically I wouldn't mind getting rid of Morey if it means McHale never ever comes close to the Rockets

How long has Morey been the GM, and how many playoff series have we won?

They need to throw away the " no mids" concept.

The biggest failure that can be attributed to Morey is his philosophy that coaches have little impact during the game. This is proving to be flat out false.

It's not a good roster though. When Francisco Garcia is the 8th man off you're bench you're in trouble. While I understand it on Morey's part (sacrificing depth and talent in the present in hopes of signing a 3rd "perceived star") let's not get carried away about the top heavy talent on this team.

Morey should be on the hot seat though for hiring McHale and continuing to employ the past couple of years, all because a weak-minded head coach is giving Morey control of team philosophy. Maybe Morey should just go ahead and pull a Popovich and step out of the front office and coach the team himself.

    Or just hire John Calipari.

They thought Mchale was going to be the rebuilding coach.

morey made the best moves anyone in his seat could make for our team.

not his fault harden is softer than charmin and mchale can't figure out how to double team someone.

remember, they were in full tank mode when mchale was hired. he was supposed to be a cheap coach who would develop young players... he was not brought in for his ability to win playoff games.

all of a sudden the harden trade happens and we overachieved and made the playoffs last year. mchale was thought of as a decent coach... well after being outcoached last year and embarrassed this year, i think he's gone. he better be.
