We had a good year but we need a bench and a new head coach. What are some more things we must do this off-season to become better?
You guys forget how many crews the OP is a part of! AND he's been around since 2010! You just don't come across that kind of committed longevity.
Getting swept could be the best thing to happen to the Rockets Rockets are arguably the most talented team in the NBA. They are at least in the top 3. The Rockets were never going to win a title this year anyway. Getting swept does a few things. 1. Gets rid of McHale, I've been saying for years now that he is a terrible coach. I never believed in him. He's good at motivation, that's his only calling card. That's not enough. 2. Motivates Morey to question his philosophy, or at least confirm that this team is not constructed properly. Lacking defensively, Asik is a goner in the offseason because having him as a back-up is a luxury that we cannot afford. Too many other holes we need to fill out to balance the team. 3. Forces Harden to look at himself in the mirror. This guy needs figure himself out. There is no guarantee that he will or want to though, there have been many guys who never get "it" and become afterthoughts. Anyways, this is year 1 of the Dwight/Harden experiment. Rockets are the youngest team in the NBA. Barring major misfortune, they'll win 50+ games for the next 3 seasons, probably longer.
We have ABSOLUTELY no direction on offense. This will not work in the playoffs. Morey it's time to do an about-face on your philosophy. Yes talent is important but good coaching is just as important, especially in the playoffs. Don't be so stubborn!!!
To me, there is no difference in losing in 4 and losing in 5. 6 is just false hope, and losing game 7 is the worst.
how is this early at all? only 3 teams in NBA history have ever come back from a 0-2 deficit when losing both games at home, and the most recent one was when we were up 2-0 agains the Mavs in 04-05. Time to say goodbye.
Well it would be kind of embarrassing to get swept considering the 6th, 7th, and 8th seeds have all won a game.
