Is it too early to call the Rockets this history changing name again? Maybe that will light some fire under these guys behinds and they can start changing it to 'Clutch City' again. Although I wonder if that's possible, Vernon Maxwell is not walking through that door...neither is Olajuwon, Elie, Sam or OT.

This sounds like a Charlie Strong tactic.

We are clutch fans but yeah, it's choke city since my idol Hakeem left.

Time to let go of that name and leave it in the past. We have our own new identity now.

We're Beard City or Chandler-he's-so-hot City.

Harden is clutch and our team usually steps up in the 4th

Problem is, we play so lackadaisical through the first 3

If anything, James has reaffirmed that title with the most clutch moments in a season since T-Mac's days. It's not even the playoffs and you are already throwing in the towel. C'mon son.

Yep! I feel these Rockets are the most clutch team in a long while, I feel its even better than T-Mac/yao. Cus T-mac is injured ALOT!

Doesn't matter that you're clutch when you can't play defense and win. Hence last night's game winner and 51 points by SCRUBS. Not to mention giving Curry a layup to tie the game awhile back after Harden's step back that was almost the game winner.

When we start playing defense without having to always rely on our two specialists D12 and Bev I'll be truly happy with the situation because Harden's hit like 10 clutch shots this season when we had like 3 from 2009-2012.

Also Brewer's LUCKY ASS 3 half court pretty much made the difference.

How about we stop trying to recreate history and let these current crop of guys do their thing.

Plus, choke city happened in the playoffs with big leads.

This reminds me of that Beverley/Lin monster that someone posted a few days back.

This team is missing it's 2 best defenders that are decent in their offensive roles as well some games Howard is a beast down low and let's not forget Beverley has been developing a more effective tear drop to go with his improving 3 point shot (see Heat game in Houston for one).

This isn't Choke City Rockets. The Spurs have the best team/coach/front office and record to prove it. BTW we've played them good since Harden's arrival. 3-0 this year.

OKC has the MVP and a very solid supporting cast that got them the 2nd best record thus far. BTW we did just beat them without our 2 best defenders.

Clippers have arguably the best point gaurd in the game with CP3 and Griffin and Jordan are having the best years of their careers thus far. Doc has put all that together to get the 3rd best record.

We have put a new team together with the 4th youngest roster. We had injuries early that kept this team from getting it's grove. Then once all healthy we rolled even through a tough schedule. Then Howard and Beverley got hurt. We weren't favorites to win the West but if healthy for the most part we have a chance. You need to look at the big picture. We are building for a long haul of Finals runs. Losing to the Nuggets and then T-wolves when Brewer has a career night including hitting a half court shot is not defining us a Choke City. I was here for the papers roll out of Choke City/ Clutch City and this team isn't either one of them yet. So stop with these knee jerk Rockets are the greatest/worst team. We are what our record says we are.

Choke city implies that we perform well regularly but fail to do so when it matters. We're a young team, no way we're consistent enough to say we're choking when we're all over the place, whether it's versus a good team or bad team.

Except for the last two games, we've only been able to put away bad teams consistently recently. Remember the losses to the Lakers, Jazz, ad Sixers earlier in the season?

People have no patience these days. If Les had the patience of the typical fan, Morey would've been long gone.
