LaMarcus Aldrige out for one week with groin pains. Portland are left with only Lopez and Robinson. Time show what you can do.
let me finish my sentence next time. I was gonna say that. How the hell did Leonard get an injury? he never plays. He will be back by our game.
I was one of the biggest defenders of the trade, and given that we made the playoffs last year I still have no problem with it. That said, I've been a bit disappointed with Thomas' lack of development from Year 1 to Year 2. Even though he's by no means old, he was an upperclassman when he declared for the draft, and you wonder how high his ceiling really is. He'd be a lot more exciting as a prospect if he had been a one-and-done and was 20, as opposed to 22. That said? He does have one elite skill, which is rebounding. A more athletic/better defensive Reggie Evans-type is still a damn good rotation player. Imagine what a player a PPat/TRob hybrid would be.
I agree I'm a big Kansas fan and really hoped/thought trob woulda been atlesst were t jones is at right now. I really thought he has the potential, athletism and size to go with his great motor. He's a good kid/teammate works hard any everybody likes him. I think he'll settle in as a very good rotation player. He is still really good at rebounding and defense but just doesn't seem to have the touch or feel for the game to be a dynamic offense player and I have my doubts on wether he can be that guy. With that said I think he'll make 5 mil a yr for 10 seasons and could be a great back up Nona contending team. He player great one on one defense against Durant, not alot of ppl can do that. That skill alone will keep him In the league.
A few thoughts: 1. IIRC, Robinson was not really projected to be a high draft pick until his junior year, when he became a starter after Cole Aldrich and the Morris Twins' departed gave him the minutes and opportunity to be the star of that team. 2. One worry with Robinson is that how much of his junior year performance comes from just being bigger and stronger and competing against youger and less physically developed rivals. He wouldn't have that advantage in the NBA. Also, I recall that folks worried about his NCAA tournament performance when his FG% was low vs. the best college teams. 3. And the worry has become a reality: Robinson is still a very good athlete for a PF but he is not much bigger and stronger than most of the competition any more-- in fact, he may be on the smaller side. He can still rebound but has trouble finishing inside and doesn't have the jump shot to make up for it. Also isn't the highest IQ guy out there.
Carl Herrera is a KUOF. And that's also an onomatopoeia for when guys suck uncontrollably on Kate Upton's lovelies.
Portland will actually have a different starting lineup for once???? will be interesting to see how they perform they have 3 straight home games first tomorrow against a banged up spurs team (2nd night of b2b for spurs) then the Jazz and Wolves @Denver and then back home vs the Nets I am guessing if its just a week Aldridge would be back for that nets game considering the teams they are playing I dont see them going worse than 2-2 (losing possibly to the spurs and to the nuggets)
Wow, portland without Aldridge, SA without parker, Clips without Reddick and lost a game tonight, the door is open for the rox to solidify that 3rd spot or jump to second.
Number 1 there should have been everyone's first clue he wasn't going to be that good. If he was a top 5 talent, he shouldn't have had to wait for the Morris twins and Aldrich to depart before he became a star.
