These two guys: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Two point guards named players of the week by NBA - Goran Dragic and Kyle Lowry</p>— Eric Pincus (@EricPincus) <a href="https://twitter.com/EricPincus/statuses/430427671554568192">February 3, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Ugh! http://www.nba.com/2014/news/02/03/lowry-dragic-named-players-of-week/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts Could use one of those guys right now, but still glad with the roster we have.
Zoran is currently playing for Unicaja Malaga, and is doing quite well. Euroleague stats: 23.8 min, 12.9 ppg, 42.6% 3p, 2.8 rpg, 1.2 apg
I remember last year Dragic was not doing very well and a lot of CFers said he got trapped in sorry team and had no sympathy for him because he chose it. At the beginning of this season, he was struggling mostly due the injuries. And now he is balling especially after Bledso went down. Similar story with Lowry. He was not doing very well up until Gay trade. That makes you wonder, what happened to them? How have they grown into players who they are now?
Here's the numbers. Lowry picks up the honor just a few days after being egregiously snubbed as a member of the All-Star team. That snub seemed to motivate the Toronto Raptors point guard, though, as he put up 25 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds per game in leading his team to a 3-1 record. That showing was even more impressive given that the only loss suffered by the Raps came in Portland, and Lowry was electric, scoring 23 points and dishing out 8 dimes. On the West side, Goran Dragic (who was also an All-Star snub, mind you) takes the award, simply because people are apparently tired of voting for Kevin Durant. It was a big week for the left-handed point guard from Phoenix, however, as he excelled to the tune of 26.8 points, 6.0 asts, and 4.0 rbs/gm to go along with 64% FG% and a blistering 69.2% (!!) from 3. ragic was the chief reason that Phoenix went 4-0 during the past week, as well, and he’s an exceedingly deserving choice.
Yes, yes, but can they do three reverse layups per game? I don't think I could fathom watching the Rockets without those.
Now all of a sudden I don't feel as bad, probably won't miss the two if Lin can consistently play like this
Okay haters, that's enough. Want to play with numbers? Here is another one. Different situation and yet the same numbers. Now care to tell us why Dragic and Lowry couldn't get POW when they were with the Rockets? Can they do it here if they come back?
