This guy sure is an interesting prospect. At 6'9" he played PG in high school and was a top recruit to UCLA.

As a G/F in his freshman season he averaged 9.7 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.8 SPG which isnt a terrible season.

This year he is averaging 10.3 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 8.0 APG, 2.0 SPG, 1.5 BPG. His FG% isnt where it needs to be but he seems to be an all around player. Im not sure how we fits with an NBA team given his size and versatility though.

Supposedly his father has already came out saying he is going to leave UCLA for the NBA after this season. His draft stock at this point isnt too high but he would be a nice guy to take a flyer on.

    Thoughts?

I think he is someone the Rockets would look at he is undervalued right now compared to when he came out of high school, smart basketball player, and has something the rockets desperately need the ability to create for others. I think he is serviceable as a weak side/ perimeter player on defense, and can handle the ball or be a pass in guy on offense. He is a MCW and Royce White type player which are very unique finds.

I don't like his attitude. The dude was talking smack to Jabari Parker when they went head to head against each other. A likely second rounder who may not even make an NBA roster was talking smack to someone who will likely be the #1 pick.

I for one would like that feistiness on the Rockets. He really has worked on his game. He will not be a good man defender but a nice team defender ala Serge Ibaka.

Of course not on serge's level he just an example of how someone can be not a great ISO defender but still help out on defense.
