I'll have to admit that I am surprised at how bad they have been. I thought they'd actually look competent like the 2009-10 Rockets team did, with 3rd-4th year rotation guys Favors, Hayward and Kanter stepping up into bigger roles.

They are missing Trey Burke but how much can a rookie PG really save an 0-8 team even if he is good for a rookie? Then again, the PGs they have played are putrid. John Lucas III was like the 6th string PG for the Rockets when we last saw him here. The team is just rudderless.

I don't think they're quite as bad as their record, but they are pretty bad.

They're tanking on purpose though so what did you really expect?

This is the problem you add wiggins to Kanter, Burks, Favors, and Hayward and you've got a young crazy talented nucleus.

They're having Alec Burks share the ballhandling in the meantime and that's killing them

I personally think it's a good strategy, the Jazz are gonna be the new OKC Thunder with Kanter, Burks, Favors, Hayward and whoever they get in the draft, the only diff is OKC made a lot of buzz cause they got their franchise guy first, Jazz is getting theirs last next year. Look for them to make a jump ala Thunder and suddenly explode in the playoffs after coming off a lottery season in the next couple of years.

No, OKC made a lot of buzz because they drafted Durant, Westbrook and Harden. Not one of the current Utah players is a superstar in the making, and certainly not a Top 2 player. Them getting Wiggins won't be anything more special than Wiggins going to any team.

If so, Utah could go straight to mediocrity with Wiggins and have a hard time finding a 2nd star on the level as Westbrook or Harden.
