    ...or higher.

    11 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 bpg, 2 spg, and a per of 18.79.

No longer is he suffering under one of the worst coaches in the league in VDN.

DJ could be a dark horse candidate for DPOY.

Shout out to a hometown guy who proudly represents Houston with the H-star every time he steps out onto the court.

His stats are good but he still bites too much to go for the highlight. He's more Javelle McGee than Tyson Chandler. Also, he started great last year but faded (VDN didn't help). But hopefully Doc can turn that around.

Your infatuation with bad players is bizarre.

His MPG are at an all-time career high this season so far. It looks like he has Doc's trust.

You sound like one of the haters in my prophetic Z-BO thread. You should give DJ the props that he deserves.

I hope you are just joking.

So far this season, Clippers ranked last in defensive efficiency. It's their offense that is keeping their heads above the water. I know D is a team effort but so far, he more hype than substance. All those LA media got nothing to hype about the Lakers this year. Now they are just turning their focus on Clippers.

Defending alot better under Rivers. Seems alot more engaged? FT shooting still crap but, not as if we can talk.

The Clippers are integrating a completely new system and coaching staff on both ends of the floor, to go with 6 new players (two new starters). If you expect things to come to fruition 3 games into the season, not sure what to tell you. DJ absolutely has been a monster defensively, despite a small sample size of team defense misleading you. Our bench defense is really atrocious.

Dominant defensive centers almost always make the team's defense very good.

Doc Rivers seems to be believe in him, but we'll see how it translates to team defense over the course of the season.

well its about time he starts producing....arent you supposed to produce when you make $11M a year?

I went to hs with him in houston. great kid back then, but no...hes not yet a top 5 C, cmon man...maybe if he keeps his play up for 3 more months, then we can talk about his rejuvenation

ALMOST ALWAYS being the key word here. When you still have everybody learning a new defense, it takes more than 3 games. DeAndre is actually the only guy along with JJ Redick and maybe CP3 who are really playing outstanding on D and learning the system rapidly. Other guys are a little behind on learning Doc's new system.

Of course he has to prove himself more than 3 games that count but during the Olympic camp he was named by many to be a defensive standout and then in preseason was DOMINANT defensively, only to continue it the first 3 games of this year. Look at who he's faced though... Gasol, Bogut and Cousins. All 3 still got theirs but DJ definitely anchored the defense in the paint. Now it's on the perimeter guys to catch up to that.

The 5 worst defenses in the NBA after the first week all have new head coaches - Clippers, Hawks, Grizzlies, Celtics and Pistons. Considering the defensive talent of the Pistons and Grizzlies.. and that the Grizzlies were the 2nd ranked D last year and have the same team, it shows you why 3 game samples are bad news.

Hoping to see a full quarter of hack-a-DeAndre vs hack-a-Dwight while doing shots for every miss.

Scola was averaging like 32ppg the first week of a season 2-3 years ago. Saw Flip Murray do something similar before.

When we play the Clips, it's going to be the slowest pace ever. Hack-a-Dwight, hack-a-Griffin and hack-a-DeAndre will all be viable.
