Beverley is good, but watching Bradley play defense on the perimeter is eye-opening. He sticks to his man like white on rice.
Well, I say Avery, because he doesn't have the risk of fouling out in a half, but I'll vote for Beverley to correct Patterned's voting error.
Beverley, Bradleys offense is overrated. (And the dude is a nice player, but along with Shumpert he's probably one of the most overrated defensive role players).
depends on positioning. If you want to play Bradley at SG, then you shouldn't compare Bev at PG. Obviously Beverly is the better Pg.
I'll take Beverley, thank you very much. Despite being called a LOF or a Beverley hater because I said Dwight looks much better with Lin feeding him the post, I'll take Beverley every single day 'on the Rockets team'. Beverley isn't nearly the same defensive player as Bradley, but he's still quite good. But he's a much better 3pt shooter, and on this team you need 3pt shooting. And while both aren't good playmaking PGs, Beverley is better at making the good extra pass, and making good decisions when he doesn't have to create by himself off the dribble. In this league, you're a liability if you're a perimeter player than can't hit 3pt shots at least at the 35% clip. That's why Tony Allen, who I consider among the top 3 SG/SF defenders in the league, didn't play as many minutes in the playoffs as in the regular seasons because opposing defenders can scheme for players like this a lot better over a playoff series. So, I'll take a 3 and D guy like Beverley over Bradley, even with Bradley being clearly the better defensive player.
I'd take Pat right now but I really like Avery. Pat has more offensive skill and that pushes him over a little bit.
If the question is, "Who is a better lock down guard?" The answer is Avery in my humble opinion. If the question is, "Who is the better all around player?" The answer is Patrick. He's a better shooter and overall playmaker. However, one cannot deny that in terms of locking someone down, Avery is one of the best in the game at that skill set. Bradley's Defense
