We went from worst to best in less than a year. We had no Lin, no Asik, no Harden. Thank you, good sir.
Let's send Presti a gift and make him an honorary Clutchfan! Or should we wait until the Rockets beat OKC in the WCFs next year. I'm good with either.
Presti has done something no other GM has ever done before: Created two powerhouses at the same time!
It just shows how every GM is Morey's little b****. Buford? Scola for the remains of VSpan. Presti? Harden for a bunch of stuff I've already forgotten. Mitch Kupchak? Guess where Dwight decide to choose? And I won't even bother mentioning the Knicks, Raptors, Kings, Wolves, etc. etc. etc. to this list.
I honestly worry that some team like the Lakers will end up throwing a pool of money at Morey and take him away. It's hard to say a GM is your teams MVP....but if there ever was one it'd be Morey.
Daryl Morey is that guy on Counter-Strike who you know doesn't cheat but is constantly the top guy of the server, he kills you from angles you have no idea where but he does it. And your pissed. Because he's that good.
He had a potential dynasty in his hands. A core of Durant-Westbrook-Harden-Ibaka. Three of the top ten players in the league. One of the better big men and the best shot-blocker in the league. All so young. And he broke it up. You would have had to put me on a suicide watch if he did that to the Rockets. This puts him in the Rockets hall of fame for sure. Right next to Nick Anderson.
There's only one team I'm really worried about... the Boston Celtics. Realistically, though, GMs don't seem to bounce around too much.
Folks, it might not have been up to Presti. He may have just been following orders to shave salary. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have gotten more. He clearly undervalued Harden, but so did every other GM except Morey.
