With the Suns acquiring Eric Bledsoe, should we get rid of Lin and bring back OH MY GOGI?

I'm all for it. I've been a fan of GOGI since he went off on the spurs in his last stint with the Suns.

Exactly. I loved Gogi, but the player option is what caused us to let him walk, trading for him doesn't change that player option.

    Would LOVE Dragic back.

Dragic/Harden/Parsons/Smith/Howard would beat any line up in the west.

Didn't want that contract because we weren't contending. Morey/Les has said he would change his view on these minor things for the sake of contending. Actually, he said it in response to Dragic's contract.

Plowman, I agree. If we had Dragic, we would plow through the west.

He has to go to Kings before we pick him back up.

is he available? one would have to assume yes, but would he be available to the Rockets? Probably not --

If the Rockets do make a move to get Smith IF Dwight signs we wouldnt have any tradeable contracts to give to phoenix for Dragic. I doubt they would want Lin in return if they are making Dragic available in the first place.

Also it seemed like he regressed a little last season which was a bit disappointing he was more in a feature role and maybe defenses game planned for him? He would be the 5th option back in Houston now and get a lot of looks but at that point Lin is there and can do that job if he works on his jumper this offseason again

Pretty much. And he's two years older than Lin. I don't understand this whole infatuation about trying to get all these other B level point guards. Either you sign a superstar point guard or you keep Lin. No need to exchange Lin for older, marginally better (I dont even think Dragic is better than Lin) talent unless it is an expiring. If not, might as well keep the younger Lin and see what he can do.

The sticking point in the negotiations with the Rockets was a player option for the final year. He has that player option in his Suns contract. The Rockets won't trade for him for that reason. Morey doesn't do player options.

I really like the guy, but I think we've been there, done that. This isn't like signing AB on the cheap for the stretch run. Gogi would take up some cap room, and who would we trade for him? Nah, I'd stand pat, unless we're going in a direction away from Jeremy. If that happened, I think we'd be dealing with someone else.

Dragić is a fan favorite (my favorite, at least ). He played hard every game for the Rockets and had an amazing stretch where he carried the team after Lowry got injured. Goran isn't substiantially better than Lin, but he proved himself in Houston and gained a lot of followers. Love the guy
