Maybe the Kings don't want to be a serious team after all....

Only a matter of time until the TNT dynasty is slowly dismantled and we're left with just Shaq and Ernie.

No one's hiring Barkley away to manage/coach their team. About the only thing that he could get pulled away to do is judge some reality show and even then they'd have to pay him much more than TNT.

Do the Kings new owners not actually watch and listen to Inside the NBA?

I love Kenny Smith, and will always have a place in Houston as a champion with the 90's Rockets teams, but lets be honest about his basketball analysis or any of those guys on TNT.

If I had to choose any of those guys to run my team it would be Ernie Johnson because he makes the most sense of any of them. They are pretty funny and entertaining, but their basketball analysis is sloppy, and often knee jerk based on what just happened minutes before.

If the Kings are hiring him just to be a great personality thats a spokesperson for the team than great, but they better have some smart folks supporting him in the front office because he hasn't shown me anything that makes me think of him as a forward thinking brilliant GM type of mind that can build a franchise, and make smart business decisions.

I don't think Ernie makes any more or less sense than Kenny or Charles. Shaq goofs around a lot so I will give you that one.

Well, good for him. I hope other two from TNT can get jobs from somewhere else too, so I can watch bit of half time show.

Why would he want to be a GM? I'm sure he makes more money on TV without any stress.

I'm happy for Sacramento. They've had a really bad last couple of years and this new ownership is finally turning things around. Hopefully they can be relavent sometime soon.

Weird. I bet my friend in 1996 that Kenny Smith would be an NBA coach someday. I'm one step closer to winning that free Coke after all these years.

The Kings have been around for a long time, the Bobcats(Hornets) are new. Look how terrible the Kings are? They draft awful(except Demarcus Cousins) and they do bad moves.
    Worst franchises ever.

I don't know about the Bucks and Wizards. They've at least been respectable winning franchises in the past. The Wizards should still be the bullets. I suppose they'd be pretty high on the bad franchises list for that terrible move.

What would be awesome is if Steve Nash eventually replaces Kenny on TNT. That would be tremendous.

Good for Kenny. Hope he gets it and succeeds.
