http://www.canishoopus.com/2013/5/31/4383898/2013-nba-draft-player-comparisons These are some pretty wild comparisons. A lot of reaching. This list gives three different comparisons for most of the players. Here are just a few. Nerlens Noel: Al Horford, Eddie Griffin, Kevin Garnett Mike Muscala: Dale Davis, Lamarcus Aldridge(I say K. Love) Steven Adams: Roy Tarpley, Andrew Bogut Shabazz Muhammad: K. Azibuike, Luke Babbit? Glen Rice JR.: Brandon Roy Ricky Ledo: Francisco Garcia What do you guys think?
My first thought after seeing the names in this thread "WTF." But the article is using a stats formula so fair enough, it's always interesting to look at results of something like that. I think the best Noel comparison would be Larry Sanders. I think Noel could have a similar impact as a shotblocker/defender in a couple of years. I don't see Garnett/Horford in him at all on the offensive end. Both of these guys have a great handle, shot and passing ability. I think Noel will stay bad at all three aspects, I just don't think he has the court vision and touch.
This is one of those crappy drafts where these "so call" experts compare the players to hall of fame players, or current superstar players, yet they all turn out to be bust. This draft reminds me of the 2006 draft. Where most of the players turn out to be complete garbage.
I can see OJ Mayo, but azabukee and babbit? cmon man, those guys are either out of the league or are irrelevant.... OJ Mayo atleast has a starting position....
This is the second time i have seen this today. http://nbadrafttiers.com/2013-nba-draft-rumors-64/ Is it possible that Nogueira makes it to the lottery?
Noel- Camby, Larry Sanders type of player. McLemore- Jason Richardson Otto Porter- Tayshaun Prince, Trevor Ariza Bennett- Paul Milsap Oladipo- Best case: Iggy / Worst case: Tony Allen
