In the first four years of their NBA careers, James Harden and Tracy McGrady have almost identical growth curve in efficiency rating, especially in the field of EFF. <center>

After a 7-game losing streak and winning 4 games out of a 5-game stretch, the efficiency rankings of the Rockets are as follows:

Carlos Delfino is the only Rocket player who has played better in the last 12 games, and hence improves his season's efficiency rating.

If James Harden becomes the caliber of player that Mcgrady was minus the injuries and the mental weakness then I can more than live with that.

If we can get 2002-03 McGrady and Harden stays at that level. We are set.

Yao was out after what 13 wins? If this statement does not get someone labeled as TOH aka Tinman, don't know what will.

i don't know if it is good to the team or not. TMac lacks of defense and falls in love with ISO. we have to pray that harden won't develop into that type of player.

Look at Wade's numbers the first year he was the #1 option and primary ball handler. They are pretty terrible. High turnovers, very low percentages. You had a lot of games where he scored 35 and had 8-9 assists, but also games where he shot 5-18 and had 7-8 TOs. That is the nature of running the offense through the primary wing scorer.

I expect James' efficiency rating will improve dramatically as early as next season.

T-mac fell in love with the jumpshot, we always wanted him to attack the rack more but his mindset coupled with his failing body made him reluctant.

    James Harden just......attacks the paint.

Completely different styles, the only reason they have similar efficiency numbers is b.c they were in similar situations, being a bench fiddle with a lot of potential early on.

Quick side-step addressing the 22 game streak. McGrady didn't lead it, it was a true team effort, one unlike any I've seen in NBA basketball considering how long it lasted.

I believe harden will become much more efficient with in the next couple of years. Once we set up a better offensive system, put in more complimental players next to him and he learns and gets ussed to being a star and polishing his game more for his new role the skys the limit. imo

I think because he's able to get to the free throw line and convert >80% of his FT's he's already catching up to Tmac in terms of offensive efficiency. Give Harden another year or two of being top dog. He's basically Kevin Martin that involves his team mates, is more healthy, and doesn't disappear down the stretch. Oh and he holds his own on defense more so than Martin.

He was only out for 10 wins. Why post about rockets basketball if you don't even know recent history????
