Am I the only one who sees a lot of similarities in their respective game? Comparisons: -Both great 3 point shooters -They both attack the basket a lot -They both get a lot of free throw attempts per game. -Both have OK mid range games -Average defenders Gilbert Arenas stats at 23: PPG: 25.5 APG: 5.1 RPG: 4.7 FTA: 8.0 FT%: 81.4% FG%: 43.1% 3PT%: 36.5% Harden at 23: PPG: 25.4 APG: 5.3 RPG: 4.5 FTA: 9.2 FT%: 86% FG%: 43.6% 3PT%: 34.1%
Agent 0 used to be a top 3 player in the NBA. But he could never get to the like like Harden can. That in of itself will help Harden become a better player. Also, inb4 locker room.
They're comparable players at the same age. Harden is much more steady in his play though. He's really found his groove on this team, I never thought the Arenas-led teams meshed too well.
No no no....Harden is definitely of a different calibre compared to Arenas. And we don't wanna have another: 1) NBA player who wasted away his talent 2)Guy who pretty much screwed his life up
People here have the memory of squirrels. Arenas battled Lebron in the playoffs for several years and was a BEAST!! I see the similarities... I just hope the off-court distractions won't be an issue...
Arena pre-injury was REALLY, REALLY good on offense. Defensively those Bullets were a mess, so I don't know how he'd have fared in a better team setting. In addition, Harden is taking 2 less shots per game to reach Arenas' PPG total in the OP post, which makes him better. In the NBA, Points-per-possession is slightly higher than 1. So compared to Arenas, Harden generates an extra 2 points.
