Fire Sampson? or someone else? Maybe Mchale not the problem

For all those saying Mchale should get canned, maybe it's Kevin Sampson that should be fired. "You don’t want James Harden in a democratic offense. He has to learn to play in the flow, but shooting is not an equal-opportunity proposition. If you’re on a team (and) your best player is not getting the most shots, there’s probably an issue.”

why is that an issue if you are winning? and scoring >100 points/game? they only nearly lost the first two games because they just got a little sloppy on defense and turning it over. but their democratic offense got them back into it.

Harden did well in the first few games because he took what the defense gave him. He put up 24 shots on the Pistons because the Pistons didn't want Lin to go off. He put up 15 shots against the Hawks, scoring 45, just taking what the defense gave him. he took 24 a lot of bad shot against portland, only 15 shots against denver but again a lot of very bad shots and turned the ball over or would have had more.

Basically in the first two games, it looked like Hardin and lin were playing off each other, now it's being force fed to the entire team one way.

The coaching staff and the media are pitching everyone playing off Harden. Harden always was able to play off his other teammates in okc. If Lin attacks the rim earlier in the game, Harden will have outside shots, and potentially the lanes to attack the rim. Lin can even fake penetrate to draw double teams giving harden the open lane. In that detroit game having both of them at the top of the key they were able to pass to each other until one of them was open to drive. one of them doesn't always have to be in a corner to spot up and shoot.

However when the coaching staff says it's not a democratic offense, then no one will ever be in rhythm. Not only is there's zero adjustment in your offense if you are telling your players and the nba one of your players is going to take tons of shots, but how can players shoot confidently if the coaching staff is force feeding you that you have to make the few shots you get a game? and make sure you are passing it to one person? especially a young team like this?

Who knows what's happening with the coaching. But I'm just saying Mchale might not be problem. I don't know if Sampson is either, but I wouldn't just assume it's Mchale. Sampson could be saying this on his own just kissing the "star's" butt. I hate it when i see a coach scream at one of the players on the roster, but gives the "star" a free pass. Sampson was screaming at one of the players that came back to the bench, I forget if it was during the portland or denver game and i forget which player he was yelling at, but i didn't see sampson didn't say anything to harden even though harden made most of the bone headed plays that night. For the past two games, harden's been making one bone headed play after another, and yet they STILL insist that everything has to run through Harden. there was a lot of synergy running through both. now it's the opposite.
