There were many important initiatives on state and local ballots across the nation today. This thread is to talk about those. It appears that gay marriage initiatives will all pass. Very historic moments there if they all go through. mar1juana looks like it will pass in a few states, some medical some recreational usage. What are some others?
There's some gay marriage referendums out there. I know of Washington (winning right now), at least, and Minnesota has one to ban it (losing right now). Pot looks like it'll be legal in both WA and CO which is cool, but not OR. Edit: Note that medical mar1juana passed in MA, but legal/regulated mar1juana is what passed in WA/CO. Those two states will be veeeerrrrrry interesting in the coming year. Within 30 days, it should be legal to smoke it... within 1 year, legal to sell it. Related article.
