    Has General Ham Been Fired?

TRR: Is a General losing his job over Benghazi?
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/robbins-report/2012/oct/28/general-losing-his-job-over-benghazi/

Apparently, General Ham had a rapid response team to respond to Benghazi attack.

General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.

The story continues that now General Rodiguez would take General Ham's place as the head of Africom.

That's exactly what happened. ALL the evidence points to this being the case. Thank goodness there is a new thread to talk about it instead of one of the other Benghazi threads already in existence.

This isn't the only 4 star military officer.

    Adm. Gaouette is being recalled.

First it was General Jones at the beginning of the Obama Administration.

Then it was General Stanley A. McChrystal.

By the way, Per fox news, President Obama watched the Benghazi terrorist attack live from the White House situation room.

If it was long scheduled, why was he immediately relieved of duty?
Their are retirement ceremonies and smooth transition in leadership when a retirement is planned. That's just spin.

Well he's saying it wasn't immediate. Either the report you made was false, inaccurate, or Ham is a liar.

Every presidential administration has disagreements with military leaders. It just seems that this administration has had more than previous administrations.

The crazies on the right just can't catch a break on this story. No matter what angle they try, it just dives them insane that they can't make this into a issue.

Well, looks like we have another guy who constantly checks for updates from winger newssources and winger writers, and then posts a new thread in the D&D with a bunch of copy n' paste and a few of his own lines that amount to, "yeah, well what about this? (3 hours later, different article from the same winger sites) well then ... what about this? (next day, different article on different subject from same winger newsfeed) ha ha! what about this then?!?"

If a general disobeys a direct order he should be fired. Are you advocating any different? If a general thinks an order is illegal or wrong then he should quit as a matter of honor and upholding his oath to protect and defend the Constitution. It's strange how Patton can be relieved of duty, McCarthur can be relieved of duty, but if Obama does it (if that's in fact what actually happened) then there is obviously something he's doing wrong.

They can string together a story but not a coherent point.

It's a common flaw in people with their mindset.

There's probably less at stake, a freer press and more post-service opportunities than would typically deter a general from publicly voicing dissent. I honestly think the bigger and bloodier the war the more likely there are disagreements between the President and his generals, and between the generals themselves.
