1. Tankers want a #1 pick like Anthony Davis but he looked fairly ordinary a lot against the Rockets. Terrence Jones #18 pick had a better game.

2. Delfino has been playing great who tankers didn't want. It greatly helps the development of Lamb to have two veterans like him and Martin. That itself is worth drafting lower.

3. Marcus Morris didn’t play as a rookie. However, he is much better now than last season proving playing time isn’t necessary to improve. In fact, the opposite is true. Playing time is bad for rookies who aren’t ready.

4. Chandler Parsons had his best preseason game against the Hornets. His 3 point shooting is much improved and he is getting about 3 layups every game streaking to the basket. Parsons scoring average of 9.5 last year could double this year.

5. Martin looks like one of the best scoring guards in the nba.

The Rockets are too talented too tank.

Just ignore the tankers. Tanking is wrong. Morey said the Rockets will never tank. Tankers are not real basketball fans either. More than that, they are just not very smart.

Who cares if they pick 12-17 again? They still have enough talent to move up in the 2013-2014 standings. They would even without a pick because Lamb, Jones and D-Mo (not sure about White) should be as good as the #5 pick after one season in the nba.

I'd still rather have Anthony Davis.

i would reserve that declaration until after the rox participate in the regular season and then proceed to win the conference and the title. Then your insult will hold water. Until then....

Do you think that Parsons is about to show the world that he's on Durant's level?

Parsons doesn't have to prove he's Durant or Lebron for the Rockets to be successful. He just needs to consistently play like he did yesterday.

Robert Horry wasn't a superstar, but he was a champion almost everywhere he went.

No. You know who looks stupid?

Stan van Gundy, and every team in the NBA except for LA, OKC, and Miami.

A 2004 Pistons type championship is eventually possible if you have 5 above average players consistently playing both sides of the court as a cohesive unit. I think Chandler fills that type of role, which is very Horry-esque.
